I meant that the jewel cases are a lot stronger than the US cases. Of course if they are carelessly taken care of, a jewel case can brake.

I agree that it is better for things to be shipped in a box if they are breakable.

I did encounter a funny exception to that rule.

Someone shipped a Dreamcast with games cross-country airmail in a beaten up Dreamcast retail box. No fragile warnings, no sort of padding, nothing. The box was shoved in a large USPS slip. For anyone whose ever unboxed a game system, if you remove the foam or cardboard inside, you get a lot of free space for things to be rattling around in. But amazingly nothing was broken save for a few jewel case teeth (which I knew were broken before transit).
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
