Have you ever bought games for consoles you don't own?

I have on a few occasions, an' I probably will again with Tekken Hybrid comin' up (I'm a 360 user). I'll have to borrow my brother's PS3 to play TTT2 Prologue.

In my case, I made the mistake of getting rid of systems in the past (like the recently mentioned PS3) so now I'm stuck with a library of games I don't have the consoles for.

I have a copy of Kid Chameleon, but no genesis. I considered buying some Atari XE cartridges, even though I don't have the system. Anyone do this? I never thought of it before, but why not? May as well stock up on the games. Then when you do get a system... you've got some games already!

I betting some of you have large game collections for systems you don't own. Just a hunch.

I did that once. Bought some 3DS games before I bought my 3DS.

But do you also buy random games for systems that you are not anticipating picking up? I am not planning on picking up a genesis (I can emulate on Wii, play sonic collection, etc.) but I bought Kid Chameleon.
I also have a copy of Parsec for Texas Instrument computer. Great game, btw. At least my memories of playing it when I was 5 are great.

Well, I have a PS2 and Genesis again, of course. Now I'm still picking up games. I was picking up 360 games, but now I think I'll stick with picking up games for my yet to own PSP and PS3.

Yes i did it, for the oxbox... a bunch of games... now i have a oxbox and im selling the games one by one because i have it modded

(also most of the games weren't that good anyway). I had those games for a year without having a console to play them

I do this all the time. If the deal is right, I'll snag it.

I have Xbox, Xbox 360, and Sega CD games and I own none of those systems.

I also bought DS and PS3 games before I ever got those systems.
