There's not really much to say that hasn't been said, really. It's surreal, hard to believe something like this could really happen.

I wish there was more that I could do other than say my thoughts are with the Racketboy community's friends and family affected by this disaster.

Also, anybody who mentions anything xenophobic/prejudiced gets an instant ban. I'm not even kidding, don't even joke about that shit. I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of the moronic shit that has been coming out of certain people's mouths online and offline. I just cannot believe it.

On a lighter note I am pleased (albeit not too surprised) that I haven't read anything like that on here. I love you guys for that.
I know what you mean. It's absolutely sickening some of the things I've seen said.

Comments sections of news sites and whatnot I'm guessing? I tend to avoid those because they tend to be cesspools of complete stupidity, no matter what the subject.

9,500 unaccounted for in a city of 17,000.
That's just pure craziness. I'm pretty sure nothing like that has ever happened, 50% of a city's population missing? That's just god awful.

I'm glad I haven't heard anything negative, but I also don't do much conversing online other than in this forum. Everyone I've talked to offline has shown genuine concern for Japan and everyone there. The respectfulness and atmosphere of Racketboy is truly what drew me here. I agree with your sentiments that anyone being xenophobic or prejudiced should be dealt with by insta-ban.

hashiriya1, I hope you're able to get through to Sendai soon. I'm finding the news increasingly more difficult to watch.

9500/17000 people in Minami Sanriku, Miyagi pref., are unaccounted for? That is not good.
It is not a mistranslation.

I just heard back from my friend in Tokyo that he and his family are ok, though things were a bit scary. He was up on the 28th floor of the office he was in and he said all the buildings just swayed back and forth like trees in the wind.

I hope others with friends/family over there get similar relieving news.
