I just looked it up. The PS2 and oXbox versions are perfectly identical, so it boils down to which controller you prefer. The GCN version has framerate issues.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Anyone.. Anyone... Awesome, especially since the XBOX versions are way more expensive than the PS2 versions for some reason.BoringSupreez wrote:I just looked it up. Any more suggestions? I saw in the "which is better" thread that Resident Evil 2 is best on Dreamcast, but what else is better on the DC than the others?BoringSupreez wrote:Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Shenmue 2, Rayman 2, off the top of my head.o.pwuaioc wrote: Not at all. Why would I be? This isn't a hard and fast rule, of course. Apparently Crazy Taxi is the best of its kind, but apart from that, what later multiplatform games are better on DC than on the other three?
Re: Are there any games that are better on the PS2 then the
Well some games are vastly Superior on oXbox to the Ps2 or Gamecube versions like Splinter cell Chaos theory play that game between the machines and you will see a huge difference graphically and as for the shenmue 2 talk the game looks slightly better on xbox then it does on dreamcast they added a few more polygons here and there and slightly upgraded the textures
Re: Are there any games that are better on the PS2 then the
also with the majority of the games that on dreamcast that were ported to ps2 alot of them show that dreamcast has much better textures and alot less jaggies
Re: Are there any games that are better on the PS2 then the
I'll throw in Grandia II is better on DC than PS2. The PS2 version has framerate issues and the shadows in it are horrific and pixelated compared to the smoother capabilities of the Dreamcast.o.pwuaioc wrote: Any more suggestions? According to Wikipedia, the PS2 has the best version of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.
From Wiki:
"Of all the console versions of the game, the PlayStation 2 version was the most well-received, scoring an average of 70% on GameRankings. The Gamecube and Xbox versions, which were both built off the PS2 version and released a year later, received less favorable score averages of 61% and 52% on the same site. Even though these versions added new features to the game, such as the ability to save power-ups for later use, their number of glitches was reportedly greater. The GC version is especially notable in this factor, as it suffered major slowdown in large or highly-detailed areas, and did not show life bars for golems, gargoyles, and bosses.
The Game Boy Advance version's reception was very negative, with an average score of only 35% on GameRankings. One of the worst aspects of this particular version, according to GameSpot, was the absence of multi-player, which is a vital part of the Gauntlet franchise."

How did Gauntlet score so poorly...? Conclusion: journalists have no friends.Weekend_Warrior wrote:According to Wikipedia, the PS2 has the best version of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.

Anyone know what's the best platform for the LotR trilogy? I see the PS2 usually gets higher scores, but there was something about Xbox extras.
