Yup, though, I'm not sure if you could really call him a charecter. He was just kinda there. As himself. However, Tim Gunn wore the ironman armor for an issue or two. There were also a lot of "cobert 08" stickers and billboards up in the marvel universe.

And he would have had a Hungarian bridge named after him, except he was disqualified for being alive.GSZX1337 wrote:There's also a plane named after him.Gamerforlife wrote:Wasn't Colbert actually in a comic book at some point? I really would've loved a little more off the beaten path characters from marvel though. However, mr fantastic is going to be pretty fun to play as if they make him fluid enough. X23 has blades in her feet so i hope that they really change up her moves vs wolverine. I hope it isn't just a re-skin.
I always love the oddball marvel charecters though- I wish they would've put a few more in.
Super Skrull
Taskmaster
X-23
Shuma-Gorath
those are pretty much it as far as "off the beaten path"
I would've loved:
Multiple Man
dr strange
Longshot
Archangel
MODOK
Dead Girl
Doop
Magik
Xorn
Mojo
etc etc....

I'm rather surprised Dr Strange hasn't made it into one of these games yet. Isn't he a fairly popular character? Wouldn't be hard to design him, just give him a bunch of projectiles like Dr Doom or Magneto. Although, that would make him a bit boring to play fornickfil wrote:I really would've loved a little more off the beaten path characters from marvel though. I would love for Psylocke to be in, but I don't think I saw her on the list. I'm sure she's low priority compared to other X-Men characters though. Playing as Electra could be fun though. I like badass female characters in my games.

Re: Marvel vs Capcom 3. It's real.
You know having Thor in there is pretty cool too, but I have to agree with the general consensus that the real nerdgasm here is the Capcom roster. It's pretty damn impressive. I'm kind of thinking they could have made the ENTIRE roster Capcom based and they would have had something pretty badass here still
And yes, I wouldn't mind seeing Steven Colbert and even John Stewart on the roster LOL. Toss in Conan O'brien too. LOL

Strange is a weird case. He is always an A list when it comes to powers and bailouts of characters out of shitty situations... but can't really hold his own book together. Every time they try it, it doesn't really take off. Shame. I love a good magic story.Gamerforlife wrote:I'm rather surprised Dr Strange hasn't made it into one of these games yet. But i agree. He could have regular jabs and stuff, and then like minor fireballs. But you could also throw in teleportaiton. Or really anything. Even weird stuff like reversing your opponent's joystick, Hell, he could even have a set of online only moves that obscure the other person's vision. Or makes them see things that aren't there. Fun stuff like that.
Re: Marvel vs Capcom 3. It's real.
Well, I think it's weird that Dr. Strange isn't in it because Shuma-Gorath is. It seems like you'd pull the main character out of a series first, and really Dr. Strange has to be somewhat better known than Shuma-Gorath. Doesn't mean I'm not overjoyed to see him in it...
...I just find it a little strange.

it would be great if colbert was an 'alternate' color scheme for spiderman.
