Hello
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 22 and just graduated from college but I've been playing video games for most of my life. Looking back I realize I was blessed by the plethora of games I had as a child. When I was four or five my older brother built his first PC and I started playing Gold Box classics like Pool of Radiance and Secret of the Silver Blades. I remember pestering him endlessly to tell me what words meant as I was just starting to read. He also had a copy of Sid Meier's Pirates! which I loved. We were even lucky enough to have an Atari with games like Pitfall and River Raid.
Years later in the 4th grade I got the deal of a Sega Genesis and 10 or so games from my brother's friends for only fifty bucks. I rejoiced in beat 'em ups like Golden Axe and Streets of Rage. I also worked through Might and Magic II and Shining in the Darkness.
My family got our first PC, a 486 33mhz, for $2100. I fondly remember the shareware era and games like Clyde's Adventure, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, Zone 66, Commander Keen, and the Space Quest/King's Quest series.
Since then I've gone through multiple PCs and computer games of all Genres. I still remember my first PC and the three games I got for it: Hexen 2, Diablo, and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. The Siege mod for Hexen 2 remains one of my all time favorites. Age of Empires and Age of Kings were some sweet RTS games.
These days I've got a PS1, PS2 and an Xbox on loan from a friend. I recently purchased a Sega Saturn and modded it thanks to this site. I originally sought out the Saturn solely to play Shining The Holy Ark but I'm finding this console to be a real Gem. I can't get enough of Metal Slug.
I tend to sit behind the curve on buying new games and software. There's so much good old stuff to enjoy that I can't see paying top dollar for the newer stuff. I'm just starting to think about getting a gamecube or maybe just leapfrogging to the Wii.
I love playing retrogames and reminiscing about them. I think this forum is totally sweet and I look forward to being a part of it. I'll get around to making some newfangled fancy signature one of these days.

Very cool

the Gamecube is definitely a great piece of hardware. I'm kinda doing a wait-and-see with the Wii for a while. With the improved model coming out in late 2007, I think I might just wait. if you can find a good deal on a Cube, I would start with that. There's plenty of great games on it that will keep you busy and save you some money in the mean time.

Hey all, Im 18 years and I live in Flagstaff, AZ. I pretty much grew up on video games and well, I guess I still am growing up on em
My favorite systems growing up were the N64, Saturn, and Dreamcast. And even though the only games I had at the time for my Saturn were Sonic R, Blazing Dragons, and a NiGHTS demo, I still managed to fall in love with the system. Eventually I sold my systems to buy a PS2..which I regret everyday (and why the f**k did the lowlifes at gamestop let me get ripped off so bad..assholes) ...and now i have been digging up my gaming roots and playin all those games I could not afford so long ago. So here I am, and thanks to this place I found out about burning games for saturn. Very cool site and Ill be stickin around for ages to come

All right!
Stop whatcha doin'
'cause I'm about to ruin
the image and the style that ya used to.
I look funny
but yo I'm makin' money see
so yo world I hope you're ready for me.
Now gather round
I'm the new fool in town
and my sound's laid down by the Underground.
I drink up all the Hennessey ya got on ya shelf
so just let me introduce myself
My name is Humpty, pronounced with a Umpty.
Yo ladies, oh how I like to hump thee.
And all the rappers in the top ten--please allow me to bump thee.
I'm steppin' tall, y'all,
and just like Humpty Dumpty
you're gonna fall when the stereos pump me.
I like to rhyme,
I like my beats funky,
I'm spunky. I like my oatmeal lumpy.
I'm sick wit dis, straight gangsta mack
but sometimes I get ridiculous
I'll eat up all your crackers and your licorice
hey yo fat girl, c'mere--are ya ticklish?
Yeah, I called ya fat.
Look at me, I'm skinny
It never stopped me from gettin' busy
I'm a freak
I like the girls with the boom
I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom
I'm crazy.
Allow me to amaze thee.
They say I'm ugly but it just don't faze me.
I'm still gettin' in the girls' pants
and I even got my own dance
Ok enough, In case you forget my name is All Hail The New Flesh, but you can call me AHTNF if your nasty lol. I am from a tiny state called Connecticut. Of course I like video games (retro games especially), I love Heavy Metal music but I also like other kind of music so I am not that kind of Metal head. I have a dream of becoming a photographer and also travailing the world.
oh and I have a unhealthy obsession of Shenmue lol.

Time For an Introduction.....
I'm 21 yrs of age and a huge video game fan. I really like old skool beat um ups, shooters and fighting games the best. I've only recently started to revisit a lot of old games because I'm getting tired of a lot of the new titles that have been coming out. There's so much new stuff that's coming out and it costs so much, that I can hardly keep up. The real reason I joined the fourm though is because yesterday I bought a modchip for my saturn from racketboy and noticed a lot of cool stuff on the site. I'm really interested in gettting some moding info as well as some tips on how to build some custom arcade controllers. I'm currently working on a wireless xbox360 arcade controller right now and after that I really want to make a high class custom one similar to jesmics. As far as mods go, I have a modded xbox360,gamecube,ps2, xbox360 and in a week or so I'll have a modded saturn.
Guess that's about it.

Hi I'm Zork, not like the old PC game. I decided to go ahead and register here because I've been a semi-regular on Racketboy's site and of course I like it. If Racket sees me he may recognize me from the SegaXtreme boards along with a few others, I left due to inactivity it seemed like the place was all but dead. So I come here because I like the general topic: Old School Gaming, but it's in General, not limited to Sega even though it's my favorite part, I won't lie. I'm hoping I can find a good nest of people here with some decent activity, it seems like everywhere I go to it's dead or dying.
I'd just like to make some friends here and discuss things we like. Thanks for reading this intro and I hope I have some good times here ahead of me.
