I think Harvest Moon needs to retire.

It was a truly novel concept, but it only needed so many revisions. All it really needed was Harvest Moon (SNES), Harvest Moon 64, and Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. Not really sure what else they can add that would actually improve the game after that point, yet they churn out a seemingly endless cavalcade of HM games.

Rune Factory was a very good evolution of the format.
