Games that you've just given up on

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

To answer this thread honestly id have to say final fantasy 7, maybe i went into it with too high hopes considering its almost always voted best rpg of all time, but i hated it. i hated the characters, i hated the plot, it just seemed so silly. I stopped at the part where cloud starts crossdressing i just couldnt take it anymore haha. I recently started playing final fantasy 9 and in my opinion it is vastly superior to 7. To me it baffles me why final fantasy 7 always gets voted number 1, must have to do heavily with nostalgia, then again this is just my opinion.

I gave up on Final Fantasy 8 at the last boss. I made it to level 99 and not thinking that the system is set up for the enemies to level up along with you. I was totally wiped out. As shameful as it is I saw the ending on youtube and called it done.

Too damn hard. Once I play more Megaman games, I'm gonna go back and beat this son of a bitch...
Ugh, I've beaten every single side-scrolling Mega Man game fair and square. Classic, X, Zero, ZX all of them. Even the original Game Boy titles.

But not this one.

That King/Wily Fortress is just obscene. Specifically the King Jet segment but even then you have to get through two more boss fights in a row (with no E-Tanks in this game, just one use of Eddie with random drops that might not even be health) and dying means you have to fight the King Jet again so you don't get the chance to really practice the other bosses if you mess up.

I could have probably done it with Bass but I really wanted to do it with Mega Man. I recently ordered the Super Famicom version. When that comes in I'm going to play it on my SNES and get revenge.

Oh man, Mega Man & Bass. I was so determined when I started but it was just way too much.

I beat Rockman & Forte, with a DeJap translation via ZSNES. I could only do it with Bass/Forte. The game was just too damn tough with Mega Man, and trying to get all of the CDs was almost impossible!

I didnt get them all, but I did beat it with Forte. It's a great game.

I'm pretty close to giving up on Far Cry 3.

I guess I just don't get it.

Man i loved F-Zero X, but GX was way too hard, i know alot of people like a good challenge, but this game is a real stinker, the graphics were over the top though.

I have to agree with this one. I used to be pretty good at racing games, but F-Zero GX just crushed me. I really liked it too!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF 2012 FOR ME WAS KID ICARUS

I own the original nes cart, and when i heard that pit was coming to the 3ds, I was siked when the game came out i played up to level 2 with the 3ds stand and terrible controls. Three months later i was able to get my hands on the pos called the "3ds circle pad pro". After getting it set up, i thought to my self "awesome, time to crush demon scum" to my surprise the controls were still broken even after the said pad was added. I might have beat a couple of level when i just deemed the game unplayable due to terrible controls.
