I would say its a tie between Atari Jaguar and Panasonic 3DO. Normally one would probably flat out pick the CD-i, however the CD-i wasn't actually meant to be a console. It was supposed to be a low budget computer.

Yeah it was a crappy "media device" - not a real console. Kind of like the Xbox One.

I like how they removed the main thing people complained about on the Xbox One, it hasn't even come out yet, and people are already acting like it will somehow be worse than the CD-i.

I want to say the Dreamcast is the worst but it's not. It's probably the most overrated but far from bad. I'd have to pick the Apple Pippin. Of all the half assed things that Apple did in the 90s, this is probably the worst. Terrible support with only a single decent game that I know of (Marathon). An apparently horrendous controller as well. On the plus side, there were ways as I recall to install regular Mac OS and hook up a mouse and keyboard.

If we were talking handhelds, the Tiger Game.Com would be my number one choice. Considering that even if a decent game did come out for the thing, it would probably be completely unplayable due to the screen.

Agreed. The 2600 was - and is - very solid. It has a vast library, and if you spend some time with it - preferrably with the sound off - you will learn to appreciate it.

Also...SNES Pit-Fighter is arguably the worst arcade port of all time, but I do not think any of us would call the SNES the worst system of all time. The presence of bad arcade ports is often a sign that a system has a vast library.

Finally, it is really, really fun collecting 2600 carts!

I'll give you that a lot of Coleco ports were better than 2600. But that means shit to me ultimately. The 2600 is home to so many amazing pieces of software. So many "simple" games that still feel fun and challenging today. And to this day new games are coming out that are still so amazingly impressive. If you haven't played Halo 2600, you must. I don't get how a fan of video games can not have a list of 2600 games they love for what they are - awesome games.

That's like claiming arcade ports on those systems suck because we got perfect ones on PS1/2 etc.

Anyone who thinks the 2600 is one of the worst consoles of all time hasn't spent serious time with it. Again, it is fine if you don't like it - but there's no supporting of your argument that it can reasonably be considered one of the worst ever.
