ok..Shin Megami Tensei 3..the second release doesn't come with a soundtrack right? so it's just the game..so when a seller says complete no soundtrack...that's suppose to be that way right?

Also should I get this or get the original release? I could care less about soundtracks but is it worth the extra 30 some bucks for a little more value?(I don't see me selling any of my collection anytime soon, possibly ever I want my kids to play them) If I got Megaten 3 I wouldn't get red dead or the warriors....

The second release has no soundrack but, has over 30 hrs of new game and is really worth it. Its like a whole other game. Its all in what you want, P3 is a great game but theres a lot of people who don't like dungeon crawling and grinding.

Nocturne is also good, but maybe play persona 3 fes or something first to see if you like the Shin Megami "feel". As to whether or not you should buy the soundtrack, that is totally up to you...Only the first release has the soundtrack, re-releases did not, so that is the only difference. If you think it is worth it to pay extra to have everything then go for it. If not, the re-releases are cheaper and the same game/packaging.

I think he's talking about Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne, in which case there isn't any additional content. Though if you were talking about Persona 3, CDink, then definitely get FES, it's like a whole extra game, as pointed out above.

Yeah, that's what it sounded like to me as well. If you're buying Nocturne then simply ask yourself whether the price of having the soundtrack included is worth it. In terms of content there is no difference between the first run of Nocturne and the second run.

Well I bought re4 and Sly 2 today at gamestop..so that means I have to buy warriors, red dead, and chronicles..which are 4 great games to kill time with...plus I hope to be getting a job soon and atleast half of every paycheck will go to collecting.

Since you're only 17, I would rethink that number to something a little lower...video games are great and all, but you should try to have a little extra money for when you leave the house to help pay for college, or a place of your own, or what have you.

Valid point, 10% adds to my college fund, then i'll put aside some for whatever fees I may need to pay(if i get a phone, gas when i get a car) then half of my spending money will go to collecting is all i meant..and i'll prolly just save that up and buy a crap ton at once.

Heh, this whole "SMT3 = P3" deal reminds me of how I was saying I really can't wait for SMT4 for the PS3, and someone said "Persona 4 is already on the PS2, dumbass." Had to hold back some violent tendencies...

Anyway, if you don't care about collectivity, get the re-release of Nocturne. It has the same exact content, and that content happens to be the best damn RPG ever created by modern man. Also, the soundtrack in the initial release doesn't even have all the tracks that the Japanese soundtrack has, and I ended up having to torrent the CD anyway. As for Persona 3, there's no reason to get P3 over P3:FES, unless you can find it factory-sealed and you wanna gamble on the price going up after the plug is finally pulled on the PS2.
