If the opponent you play doesn't have the install you have to wait 20 seconds anyway. There is plenty of really good talent on there. There is a lot of scrubs, and a lot of people who won't accept challenges, like seriously dude, your here to play people online, stop declining matches. I think Sakura is gonna be the dark horse of the game for a while, I used her the other night for the first time, and blew my friends out of the water. I know a lot of people stray away from the females, although I see the Cammy fan club is coming over from HDR. I think more people should use Crimson Viper, she has good moves. That ground strike works wonders when you have people who like to throw projectiles from long range, and she has a dragonpunch style move as well.

The Shoryuken to Focus Attack tactic sounds great. I messed around with it a little bit in training mode last night, but can't pull it off consistently. Any tips / pointers in regards to the proper timing of the input?

I liked Cammy in HDR myself, but I wish they would've kept her new inputs in this game. They kept Sagat's changed input from HDR for the Tiger Knee, so why not Cammy and Fei?

The character I had trouble with last night was Blanka, I feel like he's one of the more difficult match ups for Sakura.

Yeah, the movements for the Hooligan Throw and the Spinning Backfist both still throw me off a little, since I got really used to HDR.

yeah focusing out of special moves is really hard. I can't get the unblockable focus attack more than half the time, its kind of about how long they hang in the air after the SRK. However just canceling the move often is enough to confuse the opponent and change the fight.

My understanding is that HDR is not really a Capcom game. Sagat's Tiger Knee motion changed a long time ago in Street Fighter Alpha, a game made by Capcom "proper". Cammy's motion never changed. This is why Cammy's special motions may appear to have changed from HDR to SF4. When in actuality, as far as Capcom is concerned, nothing has changed at all. I doubt the Street Fighter design team has ever even played HDR.

Even though HDR is a Sirlin and Backbone offering I figured Capcom would take notice of some of the improvements and implement them into the game they were working on, especially since there seemed to be postive feedback generated about the new inputs. I didn't realize that Backbone and Capcom were so distant, but I guess this proves it.

I'm not too surprised. Japanese video game companies have been this way for a long time. To their credit, they are based in Japan and most of their consumer interaction is going to be in Japan. When was the last time an American game company changed something because gamers in the UK were vocal about it? I'm sure it has happened but I can't think of a specific time when it did.

Honestly, the old movements for Cammy aren't too bad, but I don't feel the Hooligan Throw works well with the two light attacks to throw system. When I use the move it's very likely that I want to throw my opponent. I wish they would have had the follow up command be something simple like forward + K or forward + P. I find myself doing the slide kick when I want to throw due being far too used to the SF2 throw system.

Right now I can't get combos down. I'm kind just mashing different punch buttons as I come down from up above. I don't even have a main yet, I'm still trying to get all the characters.

Can't think of a specific time either, Wipeout. Oh well, half circle inputs it is.

I got the timing down for that shoryuken to focus attack cancel in training mode, but couldn't pull it off in matches. Didn't fair so well last night, played some good competition. Only won about half of my matches. Back to the drawing board.
