Smile: Got some new shelving for my games so my collection is looking less embarrassing. Every time I walk in my room I don't expect to see it looking so nice and I'm taken back a bit.

Ticked off: We finally got a good Mexican restaurant in my area and in only a few months it's out of business  .

Playa Cancun in Bloom isn't bad. Was just there on Monday, actually...

Pissed- I am not doing too hot in algebra, and when I asked my friend for help as a last resort and he told me he was busy updating his iPhone.

Gonna have to find a good time to punch him in the face or trip him in the hallway.

Oh, and after that he had the nerve to ask for fucking answers on science homework.

Algebra is easy. Just zero out one side of the equation and then follow the problem from left to right.

Smile: Tried Bayonetta for the third time today. Kinda psyched about the sequel coming to WiiU. Today it finally clicked - I finally figured out how to play that game and it is a lot of fun. Not sure why it took me so many tries but I'm glad I gave it one last go.

Frown / Smile: On a lark I took a look at the Bayonetta forum on gamefaqs. Sometimes I forget what kind of cesspit gamefaqs is.

I was never fond of algebra either. I did all right, but I was always better in geometry and trigonometry (Highest grade in the class 8) Suck on that valedictorian candidates!)

Of course, I think I read somewhere that people lean more heavily in one direction or the other. Rarely is someone equally proficient in both algebra and geometry. Probably has to do with a left/right brain thing. Makes sense to me anyway. I have always been a visual learner.

The thing is- she doesn't explain things and only 10 people out of 50 I asked knew what to do.

Yeah, just wait until some of the upper-level calculus. I'm in Calc II right now, and it is absolutely destroying me. :(

So go figure it out. Find a youtube video that uses comedy to explain it or get a tutor or something. Talk to your teacher during her office hours. Going forward, you're going to find out that you'll have to be responsible for a lot of your own education.

This goes double when you get to college and you're in your first survey class with another 125 people. Come that time, you'll be expected to make the effort. The first question every professor will ask when you fail a test and complain that the lecture didn't cover the material well enough will be "where were you during my office hours?"

@Lisalover: Yep, there's a reason why I majored in International Studies and security and conflict. The highest math I had to take was college algebra.

Read your text book.

You need to be fairly competent in Algebra if you plan on getting a decent SAT score. I also don't think there is a major you can take in college that doesn't require an Algebra course.

Smile: Got a call from an old girlfriend last night. It was a very cordial exchange and it made me feel content that she still thinks about me. Not in a spiteful way, it was just noce to know she still cares about me.

Frown: Calf muscle cramps. I wish there was a way to stop them when I feel them coming on as the pain is debilitating.
