I bought the most expensive game I've ever bought this month, but managed to also part out a few things to help cover it (thanks, everyone!). Re: Games Acquired 2013
(DSH - I am envious of your ability to keep costs down by trading and selling. My collection is like a black hole...Once a game gets sucked into it, it never comes out!)
.....
In any event, here is my end of the month update. I added 64 games to my collection for $187. Morever, Gamestop - with its multiple, awesome sales - was my friend this month, and just over half the games I added this month were PS3 and Wii games.
My $10 copy of Tapper (2600) remains my best find this month, but I am most excited about the copy of Pandora's Tower (Wii) that I received for my birthday. I am already through the first two towers in that game, and I am really enjoying it so far. My new copy of Boulder Dash 3D XL (3DS) has also been a pleasant surprise. I did not know the game even existed until I saw it in a clearance bin at K-Mart. I picked it up on a whim (the prominence of a "retro" mode mimicking the C64 original pushed me over the edge), and I am really enjoying it.
Finally - and despite the fact that I purchased 16 PS3 games this month - I have yet to get a PS3 system. I suspect that I can pick up a system and controller in good condition for about $120, however; so, I expect to have one soon. (I am selling some items on eBay to fund that purchase, and I will post a link to them later today or this weekend...As always, I will provide free shipping to Racketboy members!) Once I purchase the system, I will probably "splurge" on some more expensive games - like 3D Dot Game Heroes, Dark Souls, Katamari Forever, and Nier - and I am really looking forward to exploring the system's library.

That's cool. If I had any interest in the 3DS I'd pick that up for the retro version too I'm not sure what happened to my C64 disk for that game. FYI Impossible Mission for DS has a a mode like the old C64 version as well.

That's why I bought it! The Wii version - which is only $2(!) at Gamestop - also contains the C64 original.
Also, the new version of Boulder Dash - which is a port of an X-box Live game - is also a lot of fun, and the inclusion of a "retro" mode makes the game a great value.

I can't remember the last time I bought three current-gen games in one month. That's where most of my money went, actually.

Not to be nosy but how much do you estimate that all cost?

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Not too much.
I snagged some games through a trade. The Atari games average about a buck a piece. The only games that cost more than $20 each were the new current-gen ones (Time and Eternity, Tales of Xillia, and Dragon's Crown), where I paid the regular MSRP.
Tales of Xillia was actually a bit of a deal I suppose because I snagged a Limited Edition for $60 at Target. It's already $76.49 on Amazon.
I should do a better job tracking my spending though... Maybe in September.

I heard you paid a fortune for Beauty & The Beast (INT) and Revelations: The Demon Slayer (GBC)...
