Pretty much guaranteed I'll be buying a PS4. And definitely guaranteed I won't be buying the XBOne. 90% of the games will likely be on both systems anyways, just like PS3/360.

I am in utter shock at what's on PS3 that isn't on 360. less than 10% of the games I'm getting on PS3 are replacements for 360.

Anyway, not sure if this is out of topic, but when are expected to see the next price drop on current gen. console. I'd like a ps3 but still want it for less than it is offered today.

Maybe some months after the PS4 is released.
Most games are fairly cheap already i'm starting to build up a list of cheap games to buy (resident evil 6 has gone DOWN really quick... i don't care what people say about it i'm gonna play it!)

This is upsetting , I checked PS3 on Amazon and it costs like $300 . Wasn't the ps2 priced at $100 when the ps3 got out?

$300 is a fair price for a great console, but not for a console that is at the end of its life time. I'd like to get it for $150 to be honest. It is 7 year old technology after all. Thats like a ps2 sold in 2009 for $300.

PS2 release price: $300
PS2 price in 2006: $129

PS3 release price: $500-$600
PS3 price in 2013: $270-$300

If the PS3 sees another cut before the release of the PS4, it would likely bring it right in line with the PS2 price drop to just below half of the cost of the system at launch.

Wow, we're already talking about the PS3 like it's the PS2...God, I feel so old. I remember picking up the PS1 and PS2 at launch, and am just now falling in love with my PS3. Where does the time go?!
