I love the battle system in that game.
If you level your 1st special attack to max, there is no waiting from command to act, they do it instantly.

hell yeah. The battle system is perhaps my favorite of any RPG I can think of that isn't strictly turn based.foxhound1022 wrote:I love the battle system in that game.

Yeah, it can get intense sometimes.
I don't know how many times I was watching the meter, and audibly urging my characters to hit w/ a critcal to save me from a spell or strong enemy attack.

Finished Grandia 2 last week loved it was sad that i finished it. I dont think i ever was sad to finish a game. I did drag it on for a while especially when i knew i was approaching the end. I did find the game somewhat easy. Im not experienced RPG'er basically avoiding the genre since the NES days lol. Glad i played this one.

There was one part of the game where certain strong enemies are at. I was like that tofoxhound1022 wrote:Yeah, it can get intense sometimes.

I just hit hour 12 of Grandia II. I've loved every moment of it. Even the half-dozen attempts it took me to take out the Eye of Valmar. I just reached the Cathedral... and realized that Howlongtobeat says this is a 32 hour game. So while for a second I thought I was nearing the end, it's just sinking in that I'm not even halfway done.

This thread made me pick the game back up (started and stopped about this time last year). I am 8 hrs into it and in the town after the skyway incident about to start a quest with sleeping kids and a blind girl.noiseredux wrote:I just hit hour 12 of Grandia II. that's Aria (the girl). I finished that just recently and the boss is the Eye of Valmar who is a total asshole. So be prepared. But I felt like a boss when I took him down. Such a stunningly amazing game.SpaceBooger wrote:This thread made me pick the game back up (started and stopped about this time last year). Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
Took me a little longer than the 32-34 hours that i generally hear it takes to complete Grandia. Two reasons, im so lousy at finding my way through dungeons and i have a extremely poor sense of direction( even in real life.
). I talked to just about every person in the game. Stopping for texting, eating, feeding the dog, cooking, answering my phone etc added about 10 hours easily.
