I got my Wii U with Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, New Super Mario and 3D World. Haven't had chance to try HW or 3D World yet but Smash is excellent and NSMB2 is, well, more of the same. Gotta get Mario Kart 8 and I'm set for a bit. Not loving how long the pad takes to charge but the UI and eShop is much better than on the Wii so that's cool.

Congrats and welcome to the best current console no one seems to know about. Their are a bunch of great games so if you want to explore past those couple you'll find some great stuff at good prices in both retail and on the eShop.

In other news I finally ordered my Hard Drive from Amazon so I'm hoping that arrives soon. The 32GB internal HD is just way too small for everything I have and now I can get Fatal Frame.

Dude, Fatal Frame is so good. That got me hooked on the entire series. I filled my 32 GB after about a year and a half, so now I have a completely unnecessarily large 2 TB external plugged into my Wii U.

It's Super Mario Maker week on the Japanese Badge Arcade, and I had no idea there were SO many playable guys in that game! :0

I'm really considering picking up SMM now, as other people I've talked to have really seemed to enjoy it.

Sarge recommended that the best way to enjoy that series is to stop expecting it to ever be like the first two games again

Seriously though, Nintendo seems very content on making Paper Mario not their traditional RPG-like Mario game, and leaving Mario & Luigi to fill that spot. Paper Mario has been occupying (and apparently will into the future) a sort of alt-rpg niche instead. I still need to give Sticker Star a try, but with the proper expectations, I think that game can be quite fun. If Color Splash is an adequate enough evolution on that game's combat, and actually has the character and story chops to back it up (something that SS severely lacked), then that'll definitely be something I hunt down.

I got Color Splash in the mail yesterday. I probably won't get around to playing it for a while with Gears of War 4 coming out Tuesday and PlayStation VR coming out Thursday, but I'll be sure to post my thoughts when I do start it.

I got Color Splash yesterday and what I have played so far is awesome. It's got bags of charm and humour. The writing is brilliant. The battle system isn't that bad.
