Why does Castlevania Bloodlines have the Theme of Simon in it? Because AFAIK, Bloodlines takes place in WWI, meaning that Simon is already well dead.

I also prefer it to the SNES version.

plus i don't think the mods would be amused
I still think I should refloat the Top 100 whatevers thread and finish it.

Reading the rankings and comments on videogamegeek proves me that they don't know anything about videogames and shows the typical OMG MEGAMAN 2 AND CHRONO TRIGGER ARE EVERYTHING trend.

Bleh.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance release date changed. Coming early 2013 instead of late 2012. Also the timeline has been changed. It was originally set between MGS2 and 4, now it's set after 4.

So I tried playing Torchlight yesterday... There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but there's no going back after Diablo 3. Maybe once I've exhausted this game for a long, long time, I'll be able to come back to TL. The game does have a really cool pet system, I'll give it that. Far better that D3's companions.

I've been playing Ys Origin for most of today, and it's one awesome game, but there's one thing that really bothers me (other than the fact that for some reason, you can't pause the game during boss battles): The tune that plays whenever you open a chest in the game is pretty much the EXACT SAME tune as when you find an item in Metroid. Don't believe me? Here, have a listen:

But yeah, it's super-fun so far. The only reason I stopped was because I just couldn't get past a really tough boss, and I needed to take a break.

Hmmmm..... doesn't sound that much like Metroid to me, but I haven't played Metroid in a while. For the record, that same jingle dates back to the 1980s Ys games... maybe Metroid stole from Ys!!!

Way too similar:

Also, Metroid came out in 1986, Ys I in 1987.
