Sony officially announced that PS4 will not have DRM for used games.
Xbox One will be dead in the water. Your move, Microsoft. Either remove the retarded used game DRM or release a console that is a walking corpse.
Always fun to see people on the internet underestimating how little the average consumer actually gives a shit about things like this.

But the good news is that MS is excluding so many consumers with its always online and no used game policy (don't forget many people can't afford new games), that there are reasons BEYOND "common logic" (which doesn't exist) for it to fail.

Re: Xbox One
I think MS realizes the complaints that were bound to arise from their policies, but to them they've already considered this.
I'm sure they're looking at their XBLA sales and saying, "hey, people will buy digital copies of games that are tied to one account". The next logical step is to extend that concept to retail copies on store shelves.
From a marketing perspective, they've already proven to themselves that what they're doing is highly profitable. To them, the Xbox One will be no different.
For most of us here and other hardcore gamers, the one seems like a pass decision. MS doesn't care. They believe they'll profit overall and that's the bottom line.

What's the general feeling inside Microsoft?

I think Steve Balmer is pissed. But then the engineers were like, lots of girls play call of duty and the system is always on, You can totally watch those Call of Duty girls masturbate.
and Steve Balmer got this look on his face

Remember, if you buy an XBOX One
Steve Balmer is watching you Masturbate
Re: Xbox One
After reading everything there is to read about it at this point, I'm sorry to say that I feel no excitement.
I think the design of the console is fine (not spectacular or awful, just fine) and the controller looks nice. But I don't like the idea of the always on Kinect, having to pay for used games, or that I'd have to connect once every 24 hours (amongst other things).
I'll save a final judgement call until after E3 as far as games go, but right now I'm just not feeling it, Microsoft.

Re: Xbox One
Welp.
Pretty much guaranteed I'll be buying a PS4. And definitely guaranteed I won't be buying the XBOne. 90% of the games will likely be on both systems anyways, just like PS3/360.
