when I go yard saling, I have a hard rule: I buy every game that is $1 or less. If nothing else, I'm rescuing games and putting them on my trade list. But yeah. It's been a rough 2013 in yard saling. Bubsy.
Re: Games Acquired 2013
2013 will probably be more of slimming down what I'll never play again, and playing through what I already have. I am okay with that though.

September: I'll keep this post updated as it's early in the month that I'm posting.
So far, this month has been great. A friend of mine found a Super Nintendo at a yard sale with Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Gradius III. Complete with hookups and two controllers. He GAVE it to me, what an awesome dude. I've always wanted to have a SNES, and this one is perfect. It's slightly yellowed, so I'm going to try the H202 + Oxiclean trick and see how it works. But I'm ecstatic. The icing on the cake, is that my friend also taught English in Japan for a few years, where he met his wife through the same program. The two LOVE gashapons, and knew how big of a fan I was of SEGA. They included in the SNES gift four gashapons of the Sega History Collection, with tiny replica's of the SG-1000, Master System, Genesis, and Saturn. I'm only missing the Dreamcast, and the 32X/Sega CD. I'll definitely try and take some pictures for those that are interested. Anywho:
Hit up some yard sales, pawn shops, and a flea market this weekend:
Sega Soccer Slam 2 CIB - $2
Crimson Skies CIB - $2
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection CIB - $2
Odama with Microphone - $2.50
Sonic Riders - $2.50
Viewtiful Joe 2 - $2.50
Outrun Genesis - $1
2 Genesis Posters - $2
$16.50 for the month so far, and I'm trying to sell some stuff on ebay. But my high point so far is that SNES.
Running Tally -
Sold: $516.01
Spent $917.50
Net Cost: $401.49.

You should try the sequel! It is more of everything you loved about the first game...and more!

The collector in me won out some time ago, and I am trying to acquire all of the Accolade/Ballistic cardboard box games. (You will probably see several of them in my games acquired posts...) Most of them are not too hard to find, but acquiring Double Dragon in complete condition will probably cost me.

$30 from my local game shop, NEW.
Great music game for fans of the series. As my second 3DS game, I'm very impressed.
This is a really fun game. I was able to acquire several months ago when I returned an extra copy of Steel Diver to Target. I was very happy with the trade, and I enjoyed the game immensely.

I just found Super Mario Advance in the bottom of a bag last night. I didn't even know I had that game, so as far as Im concerned--acquired.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Got Metal Gear Solid 3 for $6 now that I finally have a PS2 years later.
Also picked up a CIB copy of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein for $5. I didn't know if it was worth anything or not (it really isn't), but I thought I remembered reading a conversation here or elsewhere about it being hard to track down so I was happy to get a copy for myself, for a price I'd pay for just about anything CIB.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
While most cardboard genesis boxes are barf city ... Bubsy's actually isn't too bad. It's cardboard by choice, being unlicensed and all. It's a sufficiently sturdy box. Not like the garbage-crap the official genesis cardboard boxes were.
For me, it's not even the fact that they went from plastic to cardboard ... it's that the functional design of them is non-existent.

NONE (yeah, I know)
July:
August:
Konami Krazy Racers (GBA)
*NEW* Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Gamecube)
Seeing how I am on the very last mission on SC Chaos Theory, I wanted to get this one in time. This is the final SC game for the Gamecube before it moved on to other consoles. It looks to have a "make a choice which alters the game" mechanic featured in games like Deus Ex. That has me excited.
