1. Monster World IV (VC)
2. Duck Tales (NES)
3.Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (SNES)
4. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (N64)
5. Resident Evil 4 (GC)
6. Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)
7. Final Fantasy IV Advance (GBA)
8. Grim Fandango (PC)
9. Panzer Dragoon Orta (XBox)
10. Oracle of Ages/ Oracle of Seasons linked quest (GBC)

No picture this time (there was no 'The End' screen, and the credits moved on pretty quick), but another game from my list taken out! This time I finished Rogue Squadron on N64. As anyone who read my rant the other day on it will know, I was getting rather frustrated with some of the game mechanics that felt outdated and unnecessary, However, when the game was just letting you fly about and shoot stuff it was a lot of fun. The game had a few too many escort missions for my liking, and some of them had unfair memorisation required - bomber that came out suddenyly and instantly destroyed the units you'd been escorting. Sure the game warns you when they're coming, but you don't know where they're coming from, nor how many to expect. Half the time I was playing, I loved the game, and the other half I was fuming at how frustrating it was. Overall though, I enjoyed it, if not as much as I expected, or as much as some of the other games on my Summer List. It's a solid game despite it's flaws, and worth picking up if you like this type of game. If you don't though, I doubt this is the game to draw you in.

Next up: Resi 4 will be beaten dammit (honestly, I'm so close to the end, but I only play it when my girlfriend's around because she wants to watch me play). As well as that, I'll either make headway on Duck Tales or Panzer Dragoon. I've kinda been saving the shorter games for the most part so I should whizz through some now. That said, I expect Prime 3 is one of the longer games on ym list, if 1 and 2 are anything to go by.

I'm going away for the weekend, so here's a progress report. (Hint: progress is stifled.)

Daytona USA - I suck at racing games I guess. Beat the first two tracks on the easy setting. Not the third. Nice looking game though.

GTA: Vice City - Still stuck at the riot scene. Pretty early in the game to be stuck. I just haven't had the motivation to try again lately.

Indigo Prophecy - I really wanna get back into this one. I loved Heavy Rain so much. The problem is I started in on PS2 but it was too dark through composite-->VGA. So now I have to restart it on XB. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. Just a drag to have to replay an hour or so to get it going again.

Jet Set Radio Future - Started out really fun. Then I found out it's like a 12 hr game (confirmed via howlongtobeat.com)... not sure I want to play this game for that long. Seems kind of a fun short game. We'll see.

Ninja Gaiden Black - So mad. I played for an hour or more but didn't know how to save my game! Again, pisses me off to restart and replay big chunks of a game over again.

Sonic Adventure - I guess I'll play this again soon. It's fun enough. No idea how long it is. But I like it alright.

tl;dr = I've been obsessed with DoDonPachi Resurrection.

If you're not against spending more money, you could always play the PC version of IP. It'll run on anything and I believe it's available DRM free on gog.com
Older. Not wiser.

IIRC, that version is uncensored, too.

I have that version as well. But it doesn't work with my 360 controller or my Logitech controller. IP is pretty well-known as being a bastard when it comes to PC controllers. So I'll stick with XB version.

at this point though, there's no reason for me to not play the XB version. It's just I'm not thrilled with re-starting the game is all.

The PC version is uncensored! You'll always know that you're missing out.

I actually still haven't played it. I think they cut a whole scene, but it was basically just boobs. Something like that.
