I have one I *can* bring, but it's a 22" CRT and it's not fun to lug around, especially in my tiny car. If it comes down to it and nobody has one, I can bring mine.
It has to be a CRT though, because most LCDs won't detect a signal since most X68000 games run below or around 320 x 240 resolution.

OK, I wouldn't want you to have to do that. But it's good to know that it's an option.

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread
Ok, huuuuuge mega maybe. But if we have special stuff making a trip from North Texas, maybe I might convince myself to spend moolah on gas too. I have the following monitor possibilities:
19" CRT - though it was acting flaky last time I used it
13" CRT - vintage 1989 and a little blurry for genuine worn out arcade feel!
13" CRT - various Amiga monitors, have both 9 pin D-sub and 6/8 pin DIN RGB connections, but untested
I have speakers I could bring too.

Sounds good. I'm getting a lot of "can't come"s from people. Lots of folks are going out of town.

The wife is going out of town, so I am going to snag her Altima, which makes bringing my monitor a little easier.
Some PC speakers would be appreciated.
If we are going to fully enjoy this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3O5Zj6hayE we will need some external speakers

No miss? I saw some little cannon fodder ships escape at the beginning of stage 2!
Yeah, I've played the PC version of that.

Once we get a confirmation on a location, I can put the feelers out to some of the North Texas folks to see if they want to tag along.

Incorrect definition of No Miss. See below for the proper definition:
No Miss: The successful completion of a single level of a shmup without dying once; sometimes rewards the player with extra bonus points. Can also be used as a verb (“Now that I’ve practiced enough, I can no-miss level 4.”). Not to be confused with “No Miss Clear” (see One-Life).

Well that's stupid. 'No Miss' sounds like 'I didn't miss any ships and blew every enemy up'. Several games give you your percentage of enemies shot down at the end of the level.

I think they do have a term for that. Can't remember what it is, though.
