Was playing Nemesis last night. The game actually allows you to play with 99 lives without entering a code, so that's what I usually choose.

been playing dodonpachi on my saturn and holy god the last boss in this game is frigging brutal first few levels i can 1 credit no problem but then the difficulty hits you like a ton of bricks >.<

The TLB in that game is dag-nasty.

OMG, I don't know acronyms, what is TLB?

TLB means True Last Boss. They have some kind of standard that must be met in.order to fight them. In giga wing, you must be on your first credit.

Some games, like Mushi Futari, require much higher standards. In futari bl, you must play the game on god mode and not lose a single life. Harsh!

Edit: oh, and I'm playing Raiden Fighters 2 still. Almost hit the last stage with near 50 mil. Should be able to trigger the tlb, if I can get there.

That make sense now, I remember The first time I fought Athena in SVC, I was like WOW who is this. (I know its not a shmup.)
