I really, really want to like Parappa the Rapper, but the game gives you so little feedback about how accurate your button presses are that it makes it really hard for me to enjoy it.

Parappa's one of those games that really need good timing to work right, so if you've got any input lag happening you're in for a bad time.lisalover1 wrote:I really, really want to like Parappa the Rapper, but the game gives you so little feedback about how accurate your button presses are that it makes it really hard for me to enjoy it.

Turns out Speed Racer on Wii is a vastly underrated game, and is probably the best futuristic racer I've played since F-Zero GX.

One of Metal Jesus's videos put me onto that game. I agree that it is very fun, and I definitely need to spend some more time with it.Exhuminator wrote:Turns out Speed Racer on Wii is a vastly underrated game, and is probably the best futuristic racer I've played since F-Zero GX.

Ok, I'm probably late to the party and all, but browsing Kotaku I saw that they posted an article written by dsh. Pretty cool stuff.

I'm playing it on an HDTV, so that might be the issue. Is the PSP port supposed to be better?AppleQueso wrote:Parappa's one of those games that really need good timing to work right, so if you've got any input lag happening you're in for a bad time.lisalover1 wrote:I really, really want to like Parappa the Rapper, but the game gives you so little feedback about how accurate your button presses are that it makes it really hard for me to enjoy it.

I think you are right. Been browsing some NES sports lots compared to Genesis sports lots, and there is a definite contrast in the sense of value between the 2.TSTR wrote:I feel like NES sports games would have more of a curio factor than some random iteration of Madden or whatnot.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Spent a large portion of the weekend watching my buddy play a fairly random cross section of my NES games (Kid Icarus, Castlevania 3, SMB 2, Mickey Mouscapade, Sky Hawk, etc...)
And then we decided we hated our lives and fired up co-op Battletoads.
Possibly the only game I've ever played that gets exponentially harder on co-op. Because it's just SO EASY to team kill!

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
