Currently got Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" on a loop.
And earlier I listened to Matteo Lane's "The Advice Special" on YouTube.

I've been listening to a lot of Chinese and Hong Konger disco/funk lately, digging for samples. This album is really, really good, but keep it on the downlow cause I'm using it
Also, I still am searching for music to sample from and I figured you guys might have some good suggestions, cause I got some good vocal sample suggestions here before. I'm making an album like DJ Shadow's Endtroducing- very drum heavy with lots of samples and mixing, as well as rapping and live instrumentation (I've managed to form a 13 member group!). I'm looking for obscure disco, funk, soul, blues, jazz, rock, etc from the 90s at the earliest, but preferably 80s and older.

I'd suggest looking up the various artists compilation that the record label Soundway releases. There is also one called Aberrant but they only released 2 so far (Taiwan and 80s USSR)SamuraiMegas wrote:Also, I still am searching for music to sample from and I figured you guys might have some good suggestions, cause I got some good vocal sample suggestions here before. I'll definitely check that out thanks!
I've been listening to so much old disco from around the world lately. Africa has the best disco imo, then China and Italy after that.
I don't know if there's any disco lovers in here but I have plenty of good tracks I can share that you almost certainly haven't heard.

I consider Maroon 5 to be, effectively, disco. Am I completely wrong?SamuraiMegas wrote:I don't know if there's any disco lovers in here but I have plenty of good tracks I can share that you almost certainly haven't heard.

Been listening to a lot of Crazy Lixx, an awesome '80s-inspired metal band from Sweden. I first heard their stuff in Friday the 13th: The Game.
