Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Drive Girls isn't a bad game. I recognize it has faults and that's mainly lack of enemy variety and stages are very similar but this is a PSVita budget game aiming for some lighthearted fun in short spurts. It's decent fun. It's not a great game. Just decent and kinda fun. Has deeper combat than God of War even.

Fortune Street is one of my favorite games on Wii! Especially if you like Dragon Quest, this is great fun. Giving the Mii character funny actions to do when they do stuff was also always fun though X3AznKhmerBoi wrote:Pretty sure most gamers are not too keen on board games/Casino games, but i find them to very fun.
I have all the monopoly game since nes to current gen. Currently looking to get Fortune Street for the Wii as well as the new Monopoly game for the Switch. Any thought on that game?
@Exhumy: I may have to give that PSP one a hunt down! Either that or the DS one that came out around the same time as the Wii game. FS is a bit of a long game to sit down and finish in one sitting on a console, but I could see myself playing it a LOT on a handheld <3

NWC Carts are the least interesting thing on the retro collector market. It's as interesting to me as getting my fingers smashed in a car door in terms of purchasing even if I had the cash. If I found one I'd just sell it or trade it for actual games.

I agree. It'd be cool to own one for a little bit, get some documentation that I had it, then I'd sell that puppy and buy some games I'd actually play.Segata wrote:NWC Carts are the least interesting thing on the retro collector market. Like Little Samson. Or Panzer Dragoon Saga.

The "retro game collecting" "scene" is pretty boring all-around, I'd say. Reducing an interactive and fascinating medium to vapid consumerism.
Every time I log into RFGen it's like "Here's some strategies to help you collect ALL the PS2 games!" Yeah okay, no thanks, I'm good......

I "collect", but I'm also a relatively cheap collector, and I really don't have much desire for complete sets. I tend to go for the games that have a good reputation or that I know I do or will like.
Except NES. That'd be pretty cool for a little bit, anyway.

I only collect games I want to play. I don't care about complete sets. No point in owning stuff I won't play. I don't need Barbie Horse Adventure on my Xbox.

However will you live your life without that seminal classic, though?

I don't see much of a point on owning that NWC either other than bragging rights, or you were setting up some kind of museum or digital museum archive of the thing but that's kind of already been beaten to death. It's just a money ploy at this rate as it's not even part of what one could consider a complete set as it's a museum piece entirely from event over 25 years ago.
Another one would be Stadium Events. Notorious game with some weird back history. I know it's not popular but I don't even think it's worth having period as it's just a revoked license game, hell i don't even think it deserves set status. It went through 3 names with the same data other than the title screen and the packing materials. Bandai releases a game, Nintendo takes interest, buys it out, terminates the license/name for it, and rebadges it so they can sell it as World Class Track Meet after being also called Athletic World. I know saying that fumes people who are really up on the NES, but it isn't even part of a licensed NES set anyway considering it got pulled by Nintendo for Nintendo to release again renamed.

World Track Meet wasn't even that great a game. Catchy music tho. It was just a good way to use the pad with friends. Without the pad no one would care. Duck Hunt same thing. Mario is legit the only good game in the cart.
