Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
why is this all the sudden a critique of the game I've chosen to buy/play? Odd.

Agreed

Noise, how is it for ps3? I'm sure most of us (like myself) played the iPhone version. What are the controlls like?

I thought it was obvious by my last post that I was being slightly sarcastic. Should I have written in blue for you all?

for some reason you can buy sega cd games from them, but they don't accept any for trade. for weird.
Sweet! I go to the University of Pittsburgh and conveniently nearly all their PA locations are on or near campus!

Think I might hit them up tomorrow after class.

I'm playing it on PSP (my PS3 hasn't arrived yet). I've SEEN the iPhone version, never played it personally. But it looks f'ing great on PSP's screen. It's quite a fun port.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I just picked up the following:
Vandal Hearts (with manuel and in good condition) - $20.00.
I think that's pretty good considering the prices I've seen on Amazon or Ebay.
Armored Core 2: Another Age - $5.00
One of the best in the series apparently - I remember buying 2 with my PS2 back in the day.
Phantasy Star III - $8.00
It's a little beat up but it was cheap - and I only bought it to play. I'm starting to build up my genesis collection and decided to find an RPG.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I picked up a PSX AC cord free, from Gamestop. I used the sale receipt from the games I bought back on the 8th of April. I finally cashed in my BUY TWO GET ONE FREE.
I'm now buying games and keeping the sales receipts for the upcoming BUY TWO GET TWO FREE.
PSX AC Cord - $2.99 Free with previous Buy Two used games purchase.
http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/accessories/nyko-ac-power-cord/1975
Big deal, just an AC cord? Look carefully at the female plug that goes into the console. A rarity, this is a non-polarized AC cord, perfect for my S-Video Japanese PSX Grey console.
Dreamcast Lightgun with Free bonus Fishing Controller - $15.00
I bought a Dreamcast Lightgun from Crisis. A Fishing Controller was included free as a nice surprise bonus! Both work beautiful, Sega Bass Fishing and House of the Dead on a VGA CRT. Great seller, even sent me an EMail with UPS tracking.

The Madcatz Lightgun works beautiful with a lightup Pura pack also made by Madcatz.

noiseredux wrote:I had been selling a lot of stuff so that I'd have money for PAX. But I didn't buy any games at PAX. And then somehow I sold a ton of shit today. So I went on a small internet splurge-spree today:
Darkstalkers (JPN) (PS1) - $28
Darkstalkers arcade collection (JPN) (PS2) - $36
NBA Jam TE (PS1) - $40
Raiden Project (JPN) (PS1) - $22
some good stuff. All complete. All prices shipped.
Thanks to noise, even though I already have the PS1 version, I had to get the PS2 version. I have been searching since his post back in March, trying to find a complete copy.noiseredux wrote:I got my Japanese copy of Raiden Project in the mail yesterday. But I was too sick to try it out.
I am not much a fan of shumps, too many seem more of bullet hell, carnival chance if you win. There are a few including Ikari Black and White switching and the giant crawling tank crabs in Raiden that draw me in.
Raiden III - $14.99 New / $5.99 Used
USED - http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/raiden-iii-used/64811
NEW - "This product is no longer available."

I found this older used PS2 title at three different Gamestops thru the website. The games were disc only in the Yellow Envelope good luck if you find me rack. However, I knew of one store had a new game case displayed teasing me. Normally I don't buy new games at Gamestop, but new PS2 games are getting hard to find in most stores. I finally relented and bought a New OPENED complete Raiden III. When I went to the register the employee remarked to his co-worker, "Look we finally sold this game, I've been inventorying this for three years now."

WTF, this case still had the glue from when EB Games used to put the clear round theft deterent stickers. Even more shocking the Employee was about to put one of those stupid clear round stickers on my just purchased game! A quick "DON'T YOU DARE DO THAT, I DON'T PLAN ON RETURNING THIS GAME!"
Geeze I didn't know Gamestop still used those crappy hard to remove stickers. Ah well, a little more work, LiftOff 2 got rid of that crappy glue.
@ noise PSX Raiden Project rocks! You might want to get this PS2 version for a very unique feature. Ever play Cookie and Cream? What does this have to do with Raiden III? Well I love different types of games with a unique game play, such as Twin Stick games. How about controlling both Player One and Player Two ships with one controller!

Left Analog, L1 and L2 = Player One
Right Analog, R1 and R2 = Player Two
For game mode Press ∆
You can work both ships, this so much better then random good luck bullet hell shumps. Some real skill involved here! I do miss the giant crawling crab tanks from Raiden Project though.
Look at the ugly glue on the right of the case on this "New Game".
Odd that the disc says DVD but is a blue CD. Just like the game Half Life Blue CD, this will not direct install thru HDAdvance/HDLoader. Looks like I'll have to pull an ISO from the PC direct crossover cable Ethernet method.
EDIT UPDATE
ISO IMG Crossover cable worked beautiful!
