Nothing to report today. Hyperkin remains silent, but more September pre-orders on Amazon appear to be getting their email.

Still to figure out:

- Are black units going to be available alongside gray?
- Will a firmware update fix all the issues people have been experiencing?
- How can we speed up time over the next 7 days already?

I got a loaner unit today and played around with it for a few hours today. I'm pretty impressed with the system overall. I got it for a steal for 70 bucks on Amazon, but I still think its worth the 140 bucks.

I did close to a two hour stream with the system tonight, its a jumbled mess of thoughts but people in the chat enjoyed it.

Those Megaman X game fails are a HUGE bummer. Overall I'm still extremely excited. I also noticed you didn't use the hq2x filter which is what Hyperkin recommends for most games. Glad you showed off some of the other ones though.

Earthbound and MMX played fine.

MMX2 and MMX3 didn't work though.

I'll have to give the HQ2X a try this weekend.

Maybe a stupid question, but I never thought to look up the answer.

Does this thing have built in Wi-Fi? Or will I have to plug it in for updates? Just trying to figure where I'm am going to put the thing.

You have to use an SD card to do the updates. Full instructions here:

Hmm so I guess I have to buy a SD reader for the laptop I never use.

Or I could never update.

EDIT: Well, this doesn't look too bad for only $6:
