They got anything on YouTube? I've been going down the same rabbit hole ever since babymetal, you listen to Bridear?

They don't have anything on youtube, unfortunately. In fact, the only exposure other than a ringing endorsement on the Babymetal reddit was a site I found that had some 15 second clips of their music. But on the strength of that I pulled the trigger on picking up the EP and I really hope they do well so I can see them at some point.
Yup, I've heard Bridear. I kinda went on a buying spree and picked up their album as well as a bunch from Aldious, Mary's Blood, and the first three Cyntia albums (their later two end up going almost pure pop and I'm not interested in that). And shortly after finding Babymetal darsparx pointed me at Band-Maid and I snagged all their stuff (aside from that first EP which is hundreds on Amazon these days). I actually picked up a VIP pass to the J-Pop Summit in San Francisco so I can see Band-Maid and I'm counting down the days til Babymetal performs out here with Korn.

Yeah Band Maid has got some good stuff. I listen to them on YouTube. Unfortunately they don't have any of their music on google play. Spotify only has one album even. I've seen Mary's Blood in my recommended on Google play. I'm gonna check them out.
Also I'm jealous that youre going to see Babymetal and Band Maid.

I've been bouncing around a lot between two related listening habits...
First up, I have discovered there's some fantastic post-rock/experimental/avant-garde stuff available from Relapse Records, and have been especially digging the newish debuts from both Arcadea and Ex Eye.
I liked the Ex Eye album so much that I have started digging into Colin Stetson's solo stuff and have since purchased/ regularly consumed vinyl copies of his New History Warfare trilogy. Stetson is this amazing tenor bass player that does a lot of heavy stuff that's also glitchy and proggy and just generally all kinds of excellence. Good stuff!
Second, I have been taking a deep dive into Dave Matthews Band - something I typically do every five years or so as they have long been one of my favorite bands. I recently have been listening my way through their Live Trax series which I have spent some time with here and there but never in a concerted way (there are 42 of them

, I am a little over half way through...). I like a band with a thick tour history with lots of jammy variations of songs, changing lineups, and covers, etc. to pour over through a long period of time - and this is a band that scratches that itch for me.

Depeche mode. Some of their stuff from the 80s. Really great stuff

Yesterday, I've been listening to the whole Muse discography. Today... I'll start over again.

Picked up with some other music (mostly future bass...ish...singles I guess, so a bit different) since I was taking a weekend trip and I tend to do that when I'm going to be driving a bit. I particularly liked
Demons of the Astrowaste from them previously, but this album is a lot more consistent, with a basic story across all tracks. A little cheesy, as seems typical for power metal, but it comes across better as a full album than the singles did (to me anyway).

The summer is wrapping up, so I must be working on some more weird music

Since people have asked me in the past to share that stuff when I make it, I am doing so again.
I've been working on some new tracks for an upcoming album for my vanity project (the third proper "Fraggin' Newbies" release in ~15 years) and might even finish up with it before the year's out. This is strictly experimental/electronica/avant-garde/sample/loop/strange stuff that is not really melodic or anything...but it scratches a certain itch and people who have told me they like it seem to really like it. (I assume others are being polite in not saying much of anything at all. I also assume many of those who dig it are perhaps listening to it when stoned

)
In any case, I made this video the other day which tries to visually capture the general mood of what is slated to be the first song on the upcoming album:
