Oooh you are in for a treat this year prfsnl_gmr! The Thing is one of the greatest of all time, Evil Dead is camp classic, and the Serpent and the Rainbow is a grand production.

By the way, Evil Dead fans, if you haven't seen the Ash vs Evil Dead series yet, it is awesome, over the top, and hilarious.

Next time I get some credits built up on Amazon I'll buy it digitally. Although it is quite tempting at $24.99 on B-ray right now. Watched the first episode when Starz was streaming it for free and really enjoyed it.

I picked up the Bluray last weekend, but haven't had a chance to start watching yet.

Decided to just throw the season on my Netflix que. Just have to get around to watching Green Room so I can send it back and get these in.

I really, really need to see that. I have heard nothing but good things about it. Have you seen Beyond the Black Rainbow? If surreal sci-if horror is your thing, I think you would dig it.

It's quite good, and available on Prime streaming if you have that.

what exactly is that movie? The little I've heard of it made me think of Species haha. My wife is not a fan of Scarlet Johansen so I feel like she might not be super interested in watching her nude for an hour and half. Unlike other people in the house.

I have not seen BtBR, but I do have it on a media server. I plan to watch it sooner rather than later.

BTW Noise, Under the Skin is not an erotic movie at all. I mean there's nudity but it's not done in a sense of "oh this is arousing" but more like "this is a goddamned nightmare wtf is happening". I recommend watching the film very late at night alone. Not a movie I think would work well during the day, or watched with a group of people. Unnerving shit in the right context.

My brother gave me the book Under The Skin a few years ago as a present, but it's been collecting dust on the shelf. Perhaps I will make it a point to read a horror story for Halloween this year, then watch the movie afterwards.
