I have 3 games I need to beat, being: Zelda: BoTW, FFXV, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Well, for RPGs anyway. I have bunches of games I need to play on my PS2 (modded).

Single player:

Started playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 last night. I cleared the first world. Definitely a high quality experience. I don't know how I feel about Yoshi, but at least he controls well enough.

Co-op:

I've been playing through Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris with my wife. We both enjoy it, like its predecessor this is some of the best co-op gaming you can find.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is great. Not quite as good as the first game, but still one of the very best 3D platformers.

I am still working my way through BOTW. I decided to go for all 120 shrines; so it will take me a while to finish it up. I am also working on Fantasy Zone II W, and I think it is one of the best shmups. Simply amazing. Finally, I stalled out on PicDun, but I plan on getting back to it. (I'm not too sure about Warlock's Tower (iOS). It is a great game, and I am close to the end. The later puzzles are just too hard for me!)

I've fallen off the Zelda wagon temporarily, been playing other stuff and eventually will boot back up. I'm at 100 shrines right now.

I'm still looking for something to really get its hooks in, and I might have found it last night in getting back to Ys: Memories of Celceta. I still don't think it's as good as Ys Seven, but I had to force myself to go to bed last night, so... not a bad sign?

I started Fire Emblem Gaiden last night in preparation for Fire Emblem Echoes. I'm also in the post-game/DLC stages in Puyo Puyo Tetris. Expected a review on the latter in the next few days.

Despite my bias against motion controls on games im diggin super mario galaxy so far. There are a few waggle/motion controlled levels that made me rage quit (MANTA RAY SURFING I HATE IT), but so far nothing that made me quit the game entirely.

The Galaxy's are worth the exception for sure. These games are amazing. 8)

I also want to try again DKC Returns but with the hack that maps the motion controls to actual buttons. Wii has some games that i have been ignoring for too long now.

Super Mario Galaxy 2
I cleared world 2 last night, trucking right along and having a good time.

My only, and I do mean -only- complaint about SMG2 is the way lives work. I'll rack up like 30 or 40 lives in a play session, save and quit. When I come back, my lives are reset to 3 or 4. Something like that. I don't remember if other Mario games do this or not, but this is the first time it's bothered me. It makes me not want to bother trying to win more lives from the little mini-challenges you find scattered about. Feels pointless to worry about it. I think Nintendo shot themselves in the foot on this aspect. You should let the player keep all the lives they win. If nothing else to use for the Green Stars later on.

Other than that, this is pure platforming perfection thus far. Nobody does this genre better than Nintendo. If only they had put this much love and polish into Other M.

Also, black phantoms in Mario:

Yeah, that annoyed me too. They do the same thing with Kirby.

Still, SMG2 is good, good stuff.
