Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
Re: Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
Man, dashy warp strikes are awesome!
But yes, I know you didn't like FFXV. I thought it was decent enough, and that it wasn't the combat that failed it, it was the execution of the open-world that felt like a decade-old MMORPG.

Re: Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
Been playing some more today. Got the Master Sword at last.
Finished up the Lanayru region, hopefully haven't missed anything of note - I'm being very thorough in my exploration. I even went up to Tingel Island which required quite a length detour by boat.
I then headed northwest from Lanayru into the Woodland area. I'm about 75% through that area now. Just deciding if I want to fill in the northeast of my map next, or continue heading west from woodland to see what I can find there.
I'm now at 2 full stamina wheels and 8 hearts. I've finished 43 shrines.
I've fought about 3 Hinoxes and 3 Lynels today. The last one I fought was a Silver Maned Lynel, who despite me having 3-12 bonus hearts from food (so 11-20 total) and a triple defence boost, was still able to kill me in one hit from about 18 hearts or lower. It took me a solid 20 minutes to take him down and I had to break about 6 weapons, but I did it. Is that the toughest variety of Lynel, or there something even scarier out there?
Having a big issue with running out of arrows lately. I have had 0 normal arrows for a while (I don't want to warp away to buy more, and I can't find any enemies who are using normal arrows!). I do however have 90+ shock arrows, 50+ ice arrows and 40+ bomb arrows, so I'll survive. Feels wasteful using the special arrows on mooks though.

Re: Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
Feeling some pressure for basic closure to Zelda I decided to do what needed to be done at least for my satisfaction now. I finished it earlier ago. Now my save has a little star on it and there are other little perks I think I'm noticing but I'll leave that to googlers and completionists.
I'm not done, by no means, I want at the least to investigate large areas I didn't walk before plus I want those last 4-5 memories I lack (I did get Zelda's thanks to revali's wind making it an easy scoop.)
That said Ganon hmm, not bad, not bad at all, but I think I had more trouble with one of the blights aside from one part I'd entirely die on if it was not for the goron shield. I can not perfect block at all. That did drag out because I couldn't reflect shots back during the battle so I had to use that shield, then play the 10min~ waiting game for it to recharge to finish the job on that stretch. Also goofing off found 2-3 korok seeds upon the high parts of the castle too.

I mentioned it earlier but take the long way to Zora's Domain. All the Lizalfos along that path seem to drop dozens and dozens. Like you can walk away with 100+.alienjesus wrote:Having a big issue with running out of arrows lately. Congrats. I'm not quite sure I want this to end yet. I usually shoot for at least 75% completion on these.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Just beat it. Yowza.
One thing that's stood out to me so far was how I have yet to find any programming issues. Zero. I usually try random stuff to see if the game engine will stutter into or cheat my way around objectives, but this baby has been well-polished and shuts down my shenanigans at every corner.
I'm not sure about Skyrim, The Witcher 3, and other massive worlds... but my beloved Fallout has taught me that bugs are part of the price of admission. Corrupted files, freezing, messed up textures, enemies and NPCs getting stuck, multiple patches and many other issues have all been the norm for something that big. That's apparently not the case anymore - even on lesser powered hardware.

I haven't been able to play since Sunday, which naturally has been driving me nuts.
Finally had some time tonight though, and I turned it on meaning to work on Shrines and other side quests, since all of the major stuff was already done.
I did one shrine, then couldn't help myself and dashed off to fight the final boss.
So yeah, just beat it a few minutes ago. Fun fight, the ending made me happy, and I fucking adore this game.
Not done playing though. Now I can finish off the shrines with peace in my mind. There's still so much more to see!

I guess you can beat Ganon and keep playing?

Ok, so I bought the house. Now what do I do? It's crap! It's not even furnished
Did I read somewhere that it's possible to gain more displays to store your items/weapons?
Edit: Ah, ok, you talk to the dude again to buy furniture and extra displays etc.

I highly recommend following up with the employee who was sent to the Akala region. It is a bit more fulfilling than the house.Reprise wrote:Ok, so I bought the house. Now what do I do? It's crap! It's not even furnished![]()
