Gave up on Borderlands a looong time ago, and I'm currently playing Deus EX: Human Revolution. I usually hate stealth action games, Splinter Cell, for example. But something about this game just clicked with me. I liked it enough that I bought the soundtrack for the game off of Itunes.

At the Babi Lighthouse in Golden Sun (which I assume is the last area of the game), and the difficulty just about quadrupled all of a sudden. Damn. I've never had my party members die like this, I don't think I'm ready for a final boss fight, even though everyone in my party is at least level 25.

Time to grind.

I've beaten the game at lower levels, but yeah, I'd say you want at least level 30ish for the final boss to be comfortable. How many djinn do you have? At this point, you'll be wanting all of them really. There's 7 of each.

I'm playing The Simpsons Arcade on Xbla.

I've beaten it once tonight, and I may yet have another go. Its soooo good to finally have this game in a playable form at home. I've had it running on Mame before, but I'm one of those guys that thinks Mame is kind of a pain in the ass. Besides, with this version, 4 player games couldn't be simpler.

I'm a very happy gamer right now.

My friend and I completed the Simpsons arcade game at our local bowling alley when I was a teenager. It took a lot of quarters.

Been playing a couple of things. At the moment, I'm closing in on the end of Startropics, which I hate, and I'm also halfway through Faselei!, which I'm quite enjoying. Last time I played Faselei, I didn't think much of it, so it's nice that I get why people like it now.

Yeah, I've talked about it in the Simpsons thread already, but might as well add my praise to yours in this thread. I've been playing it on PSN. I'll probably buy it on Xbla too at some point. I want to support this. It's releases like this and Sonic CD that make these services worth it. We're starting to see awesome stuff on these services that we never thought would get released. Simpsons Arcade on Xbla and PSN feels like something of a miracle to me and having the japanese rom thrown in for good measure is like winning the lottery and then having a super model wife thrown in just for the hell of it. The japanese version makes this already classic game even better. Plus, they have sound test, unlockable flyers, and lots of cool options for how you want to play. It's a great deal for ten bucks and it plays better overall than TMNT and X-Men Arcade

I'm also planning on trying Shank 2. I played a little bit of level 1 yesterday but got distracted. What little I played was definitely better than Shank 1 though

I also downloaded Donkey Kong-Gameboy version- from the 3DS Eshop. I'm pissed that it doesn't include any of the Super Gameboy enhancements, but it's still a great game and I've forgotten how wonderfully convenient it is playing retro games with saves states, or as Nintendo calls them, restore points. It's kind of fun using them to rig the slot machine mini-game so I always get three Donkey Kongs for five extra lives

I've had a complete copy of Alien Syndrome for the Master System that I picked up for a fiver a few years back (from a pawn shop which had some pretty good stuff, I got Pokemon Pinball and Smash TV Mega Drive from there, but left quite a few games behind. Sadly, all their stock was destroyed in the floods last January. They opened up again, but without the good stuff). Only tried it out for the first time last night, and its really enjoyable. Couldn't beat the first boss, but I'm definately going to give it a good go.

Started playing Dodogo on the 3DS today. I really, really like it so far. It plays a bit like Mario vs Donkey Minis March Again, which is a game that I really liked. I think I'm gonna love this one. Hopefully, I'm right
