Thoughts on the Game(s)

This game was a let down, I enjoyed Fable II much more, it held your hand (I know 2 did but this takes it a step further) through its entire boring story with cliche and uninteresting characters, using a clunky and unoriginal battle system, to an anticlimax of an ending. Dont waste you time or money.

What's the earliest point you can find a pikachu and a thunderstone?

I have no issue using different teams and all, as you said, but I absolutely must be able to get Raichu at some point in every game. When I get around to playing black/white, I simply won't be able to rest until I find Raichu.

Pikachu and Raichu are not in Black and White at all naturally. So you would have to either A) Trade with someone online, or B) transfer one yourself from a gen 4 game.

It was supposed to go live in mid-March, but it was delayed a week. Then shit hit the fan in Japan.

01/16: Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within (PC)
02/16: Sanitarium (PC)
03/15: Give Up Robot 2 (Browser)
03/22: Cardboard Box Assembler (Browser)
04/01: King's Guard (Browser)
04/02: Sarah's Run (Browser)

I've been having fun with browser games lately. Cardboad Box Assembler and Sarah's Run are both fantastic 3D puzzle games. They are real head twisters. King's Guard is a color matching game combined with tower defense and roleplaying aspects to make it super addictive.

That's... surprising.

I never thought I'd see the day when you couldn't catch a pikachu in a pokegame. I figured popularity would always win out.

Guess I'll have to transfer one then.

- wario land 3 (GBC) (1/16/11) -- thumbs up
- metroid: other M (wii) (1/27/11) -- thumbs down
- kirby: canvas curse (DS) (2/4/11) -- one thumb up
- pac-attack (GBA) (2/7/11) -- one thumb up
- excitebike (NES) (2/18/11) -- one thumb up
- the legend of zelda: phantom hourglass (DS) (2/24/11) -- one thumb up
- super mario bros. 3 (NES) (3/5/11) -- thumbs up
- NEW soul calibur (DC) (3/19/11) -- one thumb up
- NEW cranium kabookii (wii) (3/24/11) -- thumbs down
- NEW mario and luigi: superstar saga (GBA) (3/30/11) -- one thumb up

well i finally sat down and ran through the original soul calibur. i'd actually played its PS predecessor, soul blade, a fair amount, so it was interesting to see the leap forward. i'm not a huge fan of fighters, but the game entertained me enough to beat it with all the characters (a lot on very hard) and all the 4* missions (the 5* missions seemed pretty pointless for the most part). didn't get to be much of a fan of the game, though, and def. prefer the SF series, although nothing tops my love for the smash series.

had a random copy of cranium kabookii so gave it a try. it's absolutely the worst game i've ever played, and i can't believe they had the gall to charge $40 for it. it's worse than the average flash game. avoid at all costs.

really enjoyed most of mario and luigi: superstar saga, the first M&L game i've played, but the last two dungeons really killed my love for the game as they just rehashed the rest of the game and dragged on and on. was close to making my "favorite games of all time" list, but i'm hopeful that its two sequels fare better. still, it's one of the genuinely funny games i've played, and i'm always glad to see my main man luigi shine.

I'm playing it right now, and so far its not quite as fun overall as the second game IMO. I'm still enjoying it though.

How far into it are you, I think up until I had maybe 3 promises I found the game interesting enough to hold my attention, then it became overtly repetitive.

That's about where I'm at! Just made it to Bowerstone industrial district. I've done quite a few sidequests though.
