Not a bad choice. It is a great game.

Yeah really liked Pokken. Just wish the Roster was bigger.

I, too, was disappointed somewhat by the small roster in Pokken and extremely disappointed that Wii U never got the DLC characters that were added to the arcade. Hopefully it will get ported to Switch with those character included.

I never got the roster size argument for fighting games. I have always been appreciative of having a roster that doesn't feel bloated and is well balanced yet unique. Pokken did an ok job, my only gripe is 2 pikachus. yes they play differently but.... come on.

Don't forget the one in black too! And the switch one has two more added!

Two Wolverines.
One Health Bar.

I love how they use one of Wolverines oldest powers, his ability to regenerate health, and gave him no defenses whatsoever.

He can combo like crazy, but he cannot take a hit to save his soul. He eats one Super and he is mostly dead.

If you were going to single out one DS or 3DS Pokemon game as the best, what would it be?

If you want an authentic feeling 'classic' Pokémon experience, either Heart Gold/Soul Silver, or Black 2/White 2.

They're all good in my eyes, but Diamond and Pearl are probably the weakest.

I would second this statement. Gold and Silver are great without watering it down with tons of extra activities. Start with that and then move on up to maybe black/white and then sun/moon those three sets vary up the story a bunch and are good segues into the ramp up of different activities and systems.

My only Pokemon game to date has been Alpha Sapphire, which means I started my first Pokemon game at the ripe old age of 33 (I'm 35 now). I just played through all the single player content. I enjoyed it for what it was, even though I'm probably a good bit older than the target audience for the game.

I have a copy of Soul Silver that I haven't got around to quite yet. I intend to though.
