So... yeah. It's a pretty good comparison to the Image you posted, if not to the dream features you mentioned in your post.
The Gamecube really didn't perform that poorly, though, when you compare it to the rest of that generation. It more than doubled the Dreamcast's sales, and it was right on par with the Xbox. It's not that it was a total failure; it's just that the Playstation 2 devoured the entire market that nothing could possibly look successful in comparison.

My children love Pokemon immensely. I would definitely purchase a Pokemon RPG for the Wii U, and I will probably end up pre-ordering Pokken Tournament...(I might also have to add the PokePark games to my Wii collection, and add Gale of Darkness and Pokemon Channel to my Gamecube "want" list...)
