Has Nintendo said anything about Metroid games on the Switch? I thought they'd be totally silent on that franchise lately.

At least Metroid has a remote chance of having a new iteration, unlike others. (Cough...F-Zero...ahem)

I don't know this seems like a perfect time to pull it out. My only hope is it becomes a 3rd person shooter if they pull one out for it. I like metroid but the 1st person ones we've been getting just aren't my style...

Federation Force is really meh, but I absolutely LOVED the Prime trilogy (never played Hunters).

See and I'd love to see a cel-shaded 3d metroid from the 3rd person POV. I need to get around to attempting the few metroid games I have but as always the sound is messed up on my SP's and I'm not tracking down a fix or the headphone adapter(what was nintendo thinking not having that on there?). SP's I don't seem to have any luck, my cobalt is currently in disrepair from where i tried using it for parts for another since the screen was out, my dad's black one is iffy on shoulder buttons and sound doesn't really work, and the red one has no sound. Especially when I kinda want it for metroid games...

I would just like to play Metroid Other M without the cut scenes. The gameplay was perfect. It's really just the script that was bad - both in writing and in execution. The action gameplay of Other M pleased me greatly.

Give me a new Metroid Prime game any day of the week! Hell, a HD remaster of the trilogy would do me.

A simple remaster of the trilogy with modern dual stick analog controls...please?

In what I tried of Other M I didn't care for the switching between NES control pad and pointing the Wiimote at the screen either.

The trilogy on the Wii was all that was needed. Dual stick would give them too much temptation to make it too shooter based.

Eh, it's more the standard control mechanism for all kinds of games at this point, and it's already got a fair amount of shooting. I mean, mouse and keyboard would be even nicer, but that seems like a stretch
