How many hours have you put into it? I have around 70-80 hours of use and mine works perfectly.Gamerforlife wrote:Well, I've had my 3DS for about a month and now the controls won't respond and the touch screen doesn't work. I'm just staring at the home screen and I can't do anything. Wow, this is almost like having my own little, portable, Xbox 360!

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Sigh, I have a second 3DS, but I can't transfer any eshop games on my SD card over there because of that stupid limitation that only allows you to play games on the system you downloaded it on. Guess I won't be trying out Sakura Samurai
You know Sony prodects are the only thing that don't give me problems now it seems. No issues ever with my PS3 or PSP but I've gotten the red ring of death on my Xbox 360 and now a Nintendo 3ds I got on Christmas doesn't work

That's the opposite that I've been through; All within a span of a 1.5 years:Gamerforlife wrote:You know Sony prodects are the only thing that don't give me problems now it seems. 1 ps1
2 ps2s
2 ps2 controllers
1 ps3 controller
Also my psone, psp, and ps3 have had disc reading problems and my ps3 randomly disconnects my controller
I could say my alarm clock as well, since that is also made by Sony

The only things that I've ever had die on me were my Xbox (which I fixed) and my video card (which would've had a lifetime warranty, but I forgot to register it.) Keep yer shit clean, don't drop it and you'll be fine.

Or there's also that thing called "bad luck" when you get a part which wasn't built well in the factory.

Then send it back, or learn the technical skills to fix it yourself if you can't. It's always funny to me to see people on Craigslist trying to unload their broken electronics because they can't be arsed to do anything but complain when it breaks.ZeroAX wrote:sabrage wrote:The only things that I've ever had die on me were my Xbox (which I fixed) and my video card (which would've had a lifetime warranty, but I forgot to register it.) Re: Nintendo 3DS
I'd like to say that 3DS is a good system and reports of problems are outliers... but it really feels like the second half of that statement isn't true. Quality matters, and the quality of 3DS is lower than I expect for a piece of Nintendo hardware.
Sadly, this has become more and more of an issue as gaming tech gets more complicated. All three home consoles had quality issues this generation and the number of people I know who have bought "replacement" consoles when theirs breaks down is ridiculous. Even when issues are covered by warranties, nobody enjoys sending a broken system out for repair when they just want to be playing games.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I broke 500 on Street Pass last weekend. Hope to break 600 this weekend (but it is doubtful).
