What was the last movie you've seen?

You're not alone. I think most of the VA's board voted it as their favorite as well, and although Kevin seems to go back and forward on his "favorite film', Amy is usually in the top two of his list (depending on what his latest movie is).

It all goes back to what people like, regardless of the quality of the movie. Case in point, I love MallRats, which isn't by any stretch a great film, but it's simply funny to me. And that's what I expect from Kevin, funny shit. In fact, I think his best work ever comes from Q&A's, comics, and his "An Evening With" and "Dinner with" series.

Smiths best work is Clerks the Animated Series.

Don't be Affraid of the Dark (2011).
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I personally think Red State is Kevin Smith's best film. I like most of his films, but his best stuff came out of the Smodcast podcast. Tell 'em Steve-Dave! is the best thing since sliced bread.

I have Red State on my Netflix queue but haven't seen it yet.

I still LOVE the censored version of Mallrats, and of course the original release.

Anyone else have the director's cut for Mallrats? That shit lasts for about 4 hours, and plays out like a pre-release screener from 1989. Still, it has Joey Lauren Adams bare chested, so there is that, but man, way too long of a movie. A long movie with 5 nipples, but still a long movie.

And as much as it pains me to say it, Red State was pretty awful. Movie wise...not that it's a horrible concept, but the movie, as a movie, wasn't good.

I had the TV cut of Mallrats taped for years myself! I have the standard DVD now. I'm fairly certain she's topless in the R-Rated cut, not just the Director's Cut. Though it's been a while since I've watched it.
