Those Rom mega packs/torrents were the worst. 1000+ roms or entire console libraries... I'd play like, 5 tops?

I wouldn't say that necessarily. Sony has been doing nothing but jab at Microsoft. At E3 this year they said, "We love you so much and have been listening to you all and we want to reward you with including the PS4 camera FOR FREE with every system, because WE stand by OUR hardware!"

Heh well let's be fair, when the initial-initial XBone/PS4 announcements came out, MS flubbed it so bad, Sony basically walked out and went "Used games. Loaners. No required internet. Boo-yah" and dropped the mic before walking off stage. So I think they've been doing plenty of jabs this go-around

And god love them for that! I'm sure digital-only releases are just around the corner and I hope Sony takes a strong stance against that as well.

So via random wikipedia'ing, I find myself with the random urge to play Xenogears again. I don't think I've played it in a decade or more at this point. It actually was one of the games, when I unpacked my games upon buying my house for the first time in years, that I went "wait, when did I get this?" because I have no clear memory of buying it.

If I'm feeling particularly inspired/cutscene-y, I might even go on to play Xenosaga and finish it off with Xenoblade Chronicles.

Of course, I will need to secure a copy of Xenosaga 3 first. Only one of the 5 games I don't have.

I never burned CDs but I used to spend hours downloading ISOs, ROMs, and abandonware DOS games. Then one day I said "what the hell am I doing? I can never play all this shit." So then I started collecting physical games at such a fast and furious rate that I'll likely never have time to play all of them either.

But at least the physical games look nice.

I'm thinking of getting back into Pokemon X. I already beat the game, but maybe I can complete my pokedex? Should be easy with online trades

I think my nes hates me sometimes though, I was playing the cart just fine that morning came back to it a few hours later(with zelda 1 never touched it just did the usual reset-power off) and the game decided to go crazy causing me to remove it, put it back in wiggle it and finally put some alcohol on it....I think I really need to get around to purchasing myself some real contact cleaner or something soon...that's kinda strange...
