Summer Game Challenge 2013 - Begin when ready!

Great call on that one - I actually started it last night about an hour after finishing MMX2! I've always been a big Silent Hill fan, right down to the grainy graphics and hilarious voice-acting, so going through this one should be pretty fun. I'll be starting one of the heavy RPGs after beating both this and Dark Souls, likely CT or FF3.

It's an excellent game, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts! Also, do you plan to go for all the endings, or will just one suffice for your summer challenge?

Between CT and NTSC-U FF3, your mileage may vary on length because of FF3's open world later in the game. You'll know what I mean when you get there, but just consider: in CT there are sidequests that provide critical information about characters and their motivations, but it's a small part in terms of the overall plot. In FF3, those kinds of sidequests takes up about a third of the game. FF3 is also a much longer game to play through, though I consider it one of my favorite games of all time.

You could make a pretty reasonable list of 10 out of that:
- Sonic CD
- Sin & Punishment
- Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D (including Master Quest)
- Burning Rangers
- Dark Cloud
- Mega Man X4
- Guardian Heroes

And then probably 3 of these:
- Legend of Oasis
- Gunbird
- Ape Escape 2 (in progress)
- Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (in hard mode)
- Darius II

Sorry for not doing it right. I guess I wasn't exactly clear what this thread is all about.
I'm still gonna do it. Here's a new list that hopefully meets Dave's qualifications.

I started Prince of Persia Sands of Time last night and got to the Zoo. Last time I played it was on the cube and it was 2003, but I never finished it, so this time I am playing it on the PC. Sadly the PC controls are horrible, but I am going to power through it to finish the game. So far it is a fun 3d Platformer with soso combat. I remember it being amazing back in the day, but it has not aged well - still pretty though.

Scraper, good luck on Burning Rangers. It gets difficult on the higher stages. But it is a technical marvel.

Scraper, good luck on Burning Rangers. It gets difficult on the higher stages. But it is a technical marvel.

Lots of Saturn love on that list! Have you played Dark Cloud before? It's interesting, but I got really bored about halfway through and never finished it.

Haven't started on Dark Cloud yet, but it's been recommended to me by a lot of people. I'm very excited to try it out this summer.

Loving Silent Hill 2 so far - it has a real horror movie quality to it, something that seems to be lacking in a lot of the modern horror games. The atmosphere is fantastic, and even though I'm less than two hours in, the environments and sounds are great. One criticism I have to mention is the camera - it's awkward, even with the ability to press L2 and center it in front of you. I'm a fan of tank controls, so no complaints from me there. Onward!
