What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Saw an email on Freecycle that someone was giving away some xbox games. Picked them up yesterday and it was a good haul. About 20 games, CIB with only 1 filler game (some Shrek game).

Why are you characterizing a very civil debate as a "shitstorm"?

It probably just makes him uncomfortable. I get that feeling whenever I start a debate too, especially if I'm not really involved in it, regardless of whether it's actually civil or not.

CFFJR sent me an HDD for my 360 so I wouldn't have to buy one. o.pwuaioc sent me Twisted Metal Black -- unannounced -- for no real reason other than he knew I didn't have it. ninjaspandex just sent me a bluetooth headset for my 360 because the one I bought at a yard sale for $1 didn't work. Another benefactor asked to remain nameless, but sent me a box of things just because he knew I wanted them. I can't help but feel like, wow. We really have this amazing little community of people that are more than just dudes that like games. But really, we're a bunch of friends. And that makes me feel really proud and grateful to be a part of that. I could just as easily turn around and send shit to the dudes I just mentioned because I feel I "owe them" something... but really what they've given me is a sense of uh... "paying it forward" I guess. A feeling that I'd like to perpetuate such kind-hardheartedness within this community. And maybe that's even better in the long run. Maybe we all benefit from being part of this place and sharing this hobby that we love so much. Thanks guys.

Ticked: I've been playing Deathsmiles for the last like three hours aiming for a new high score. I fucking suck.
Smile: Noise's comment!
I agree wholeheartedly! It's been really nice to make friends with people are into the same hobbies. The sense of community is also great and I really fell welcomed at meet ups. I've only had positive experiences on the BST forum. Seeing this community grow over the past 3 years I've been here has been awesome as well (including both the ups and downs  ).

Frown: I accidentally ordered one of the wrong capacitor values for the amplifier i'm building. Another week or two before I can proceed. :| WHY DON'T LOCAL STORES SELL THIS STUFF ANYMORE?!?!

Side note: I have some time to compete with you this morning in DS!

Frown: Yesterday is over.

Smile: All the fun we had last night with friends. Went all out on food and drinks, and my buddy Pringles went wayyy overboard on the fireworks. He had an arsenal. Rockets, mortars, repeaters, cones, roman candles, you name it he had it (except for snaps. no snaps).

He mostly shot off mortars, and they were the kind where you could feel the BOOM in your chest when they went off. It was kind of funny how paranoid he was though shooting them off.

Super ticked it's 100 degrees out and my power just went out so no AC or video games or internet.

Well I guess I can take the dogs to a lake or something I guess. No point in staying here.
