I have both options thankfully and it's absolutely worth doing at least one of them.ExedExes wrote:Absolutely. Then in the Gamecube games themselves, hot DAMN! that's a really stark contrast in how much better it looks. I can see why people who've done it are all the rage about it. A very worthwhile upgrade I'd say, if you play a lot of Gamecube games at least.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Ranger X, Sega Genesis - $10 CB
I noticed this game seems to be rising somewhat in price. This game and also Ex-Mutants seem to be rising for no apparent reason. I like my Genesis games CIB, but this was a very good price and I wasn't sure I'd see it out in the wild again so I sprung for it. My early impressions of the game are middling. If you'd played Bangai-O for the Dreamcast, it's somewhat like that game, but the sprites are much bigger/the camera much closer to your character. It's just difficult to avoid stuff, and the game lacks the charm that Bangai-O had. A so-so game as far as I can tell right now.
Mario & Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem, Nintendo D - $5 CIB
I've never played one of these but they seemed like a fun offshoot. I'm really enjoying it! Good puzzler with some Lemmings influence. I'll definitely be playing this more and I recommend it even if you find it a little more expensive than I did.

Some random thrift/pawn pickups:
College Slam (GB)
Armorines (GBC)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix (PS3)
I also bought some random UMD movies to take 'em off their hands. Not sure what I'm going to do with them, the only "good" one is FF: Spirits Within. Unless you like Napoleon Dynamite or something.
I also bought all the Dark Forces / Jedi Knight games off of GOG.

I pimp Jedi Knight all the time. I think it's just an extremely tight game. Graphics are a little icky by now but other than that I think it's great.Sarge wrote:Some random thrift/pawn pickups:
