There was never dignity to the species.

Please let this be a real thing, please let this be a real thing. I want to laugh at the sadness of humanity so much, please let this be a real thing.
Hey we can turn mundane things awesome, exciting and fun by making them more like video games! That's the magic of gamification!

Some one mentioned the morpheus conversation from Deus Ex in that eurogamer article

Morpheus: "I was a prototype for Echelon IV. My instructions are to amuse visitors with information about themselves."
JC Denton: "I don't see anything amusing about spying on people."
Morpheus: "Human beings feel pleasure when they are watched. I have recorded their smiles as I tell them who they are."
JC Denton: "Some people just don't understand the dangers of indiscriminate surveillance."
Morpheus: "The need to be observed and understood was once satisfied by God. Now we can implement the same functionality with data-mining algorithms."
JC Denton: "Electronic surveillance hardly inspires reverence. Perhaps fear and obedience, but not reverence."
Morpheus: "God and the gods were apparitions of observation, judgment and punishment. Other sentiments towards them were secondary."
JC Denton: "No one will ever worship a software entity peering at them through a camera."
Morpheus: "The human organism always worships. First, it was the gods, then it was fame (the observation and judgment of others), next it will be self-aware systems you have built to realize truly omnipresent observation and judgment."
JC Denton: "You underestimate humankind's love of freedom."
Morpheus: "The individual desires judgment. Without that desire, the cohesion of groups is impossible, and so is civilization."

You don't want to live in the mountains. It's really, really boring here and a lot of the people are very unpleasant.

As for this article: http://wiiudaily.com/2013/05/wii-u-sale ... ase-in-uk/

I am having a hard time believing it , 875%? thats too much to be real.
What I do not understand why are people so upset with the XboxOne but are happy with the PS4 , even though they are both doing the same thing. Disc games, online play, cameras, about same power, no backward compatibility .

I did mention this earlier, at Gamespot people are 87% favoring the ps4, not sure why.

@Violent By Design

You do not get the idea , although I am against multiple installments per console , I am not complaining about that. I am saying that Triple A titles cost a lot and it will bring the videogames market down (at least for the publishers)

While We had 3 Sonics on the Sega Genesis , the money to develop the 3 Sonics probably is no where as big as the budget for the next Halo installment on XboxOne . When you make a game with small amount of investment its ok to sell 50-100 k titles back then, current Triple A titles like God of War and Halos are so expensive they probably need 1 million in sales to cover the costs. So its much easier to make multiple installments and sell 100k units than make multi-million dollar games and try to sell anywhere from 3+ million per title.

Let us not forget , with the Genesis you could only play the Genesis games so the success rate of the game is much higher. With any current gen console you can play games from PSX , PS2 , Indie , and remakes not to mention expansion packs . The chances of succeeding with multiple installments back then was much higher as I believe game libraries were much smaller. Today its high competition and to make a multiple installment ($30m-$40m each) is too risky. In the end we will lose the games we love because the publisher got greedy thinking the more he releases installments the more money he will make. There will be a time where people will say "enough" .

@ZeroaAX

Wait before you laugh, this could make sense. I can see fans of a show would like to see all episode on their favorite cable TV and unlock an achievement and it will give them a satisfaction to brag that they are fans of this show. If I was going to watch a show or a movie any way, why not get its achievement? It will be good advertising if people with certain achievements (watched all episode of Breaking Bad Season 5) will get into some kind a contest where randomly 3 will picked and receive a free game or something like that. I see it happening to be honest .

Imagine if you see all Miami Heat games you get into random pick for a free season tickets next year? I bet all fans will get the achievements , they are watching the games any how.

I just thought about this earlier today when I heard about the issues people were having watching the Xbox1 conference on their 360. If they had a Kinect, when the presenters would shout kinect commands during the conference, the viewers Kinect would pick up on it and cancel the stream.

I would this very funny for people playing the CoD on their new Xbox1. They have the voice chat enabled, but they aren't wearing headphones so the audio is piped through their sound system. All of a sudden you hear some guy scream, "XBOX TURN OFF!" and you and half of the other people in the game disconnect and power down.

Thought of that once too.

My friends and I already messed with a friend playing one of the Halo games once by constantly yelling "GRENADE!"

Most fun I had and ever will have with the Kinect.

Sony did show bigger gaming material, xbone had EA... with sports games... yeah no thanks.

In a personal note if i not see a proper gameplay video i don't support the game, the videos on the ps4 stream were pure CG trailer.

Keep in mind that the Wii U's sales rank jumped up 875%. Not sales. There's a big difference between the two.
