How about S.C.A.T. on NES?Luke wrote:Trying to think of a great game where the protagonist can fly with no restrictions. Other than the jet pack in GTA San Andreas, I'm coming up empty. You'd think Superman Returns would be the go to, but nope. Any ideas?

I haven't played Dark Void, but you are supposed to be able to fly in that game.
The other game that comes to mind is Tribes Ascend (or any of its predecessors)

It's 16-bit and 2D, but I remember you could float around at any time during The Death and Return of Superman on SNES & Genesis. Just a double-tap of the jump button, IIRC.

Damn, the Pokemon Gen I remakes were made before the Physical/Special split. Oh well, at least they don't have just one stat for both attack and defense like the originals.

It's been quite a while since I've played it. But I remember being a kid playing it and having trouble with the henchmen that had dynamite. So I'd fly around and punch them from above.Luke wrote:He hovers more than flies.BurningDoom wrote:It's 16-bit and 2D, but I remember you could float around at any time during The Death and Return of Superman on SNES & Genesis.
