Hell yar! Should I just post a list of shmup goodies and whatever is most wanted, I can bring?Bradtemple87 wrote:I have the saturn hooked up through s-video with the Action Replay waitingdunpeal2064 wrote:I love the Saturn d-pad (model 2 I think) but I am not a fan of the dc d-pad. The way the controller rounds out makes it stick up, and doing back-left moves starts to hurt. That agetek stick though, super clean.
So does that mean we'll have shmups at this meet?![]()
I can always bring some

any time in september would probably work for me, as long as it's not the 16th and possibly the 17th

Terrence (hashiriya1) has a ton of japanese consoles and shmups. We may be able to convince him to bring some stuffdunpeal2064 wrote:Sweet I'll do that too. So, a short list of my favorite shmups. Re: Bay Area, CA Racketboy Member's Meet Up - September?
I got two Saturn's and a 4m turbo key which allows for playing imports too but bring the action replay just in case. I gave my Saturn s-video cable to Apolloboy anticipating a Saturn scart cable but I haven't gotten one yet so bring that as well if possible. No plans so far for the 24th but crap sometimes pops up so hopefully that won't happen. I'll keep everyone posted to see if I can go through hosting the meetup in the coming days. I've got a total of 6 TVs we can hook stuff up to in the game room. I'd like to see some 8-bit systems/computers as well.

Ha ha, I wish man. Even if I sold all of my shooters, I might barely be able to afford a cab, and then I'd need to drop another grand just to get Mushi Futari back.mjmjr25 wrote:No trades sevin - only hard cash, my boy is getting into the arcade scenesevin0seven wrote:you can also bring stuff you want to trade or sell on the meet-up.dunpeal2064 wrote:Hell yar! It will happen someday though. For now, the DC and stick are arcady enough for me.
I'll just throw a bunch of games into a cd case and bring that. Will there be a DC there?
If its something that people would be interested in, I can always lug my j360 and games out there. No HDMI port, but I have S-Vid and Component cables.

As it stands now, we are cleared for September so I'll be able to host on the 24th. Who's up for a Saturday BBQ?
Let's plan this bish, figure out who's bringing what, and update the main list.
@dunpeal: Two DC's.
