I'm not usually a fan of the type...but the expression on that bear's face is priceless! Had me lol the first time.

Finally beat it tonight (with a little help!).

Great game. Time to beat it again.

I'd like to try some 4-player sometime too; maybe a group of us could start at the beginning with low-ranked characters so we're not all unbalanced.

We just beat it as well and I've already started over with a new character. I don't think we found even a small percentage of the secrets so there is a LOT left to explore.

Everyone who has commented on the greatness of this game is absolutely correct; it's amazing.

Is anyone here playing online together? I haven't tried getting online because I keep reading about the bugs and wonder what you all are experiencing. I have noticed a couple of other bugs in the game. My character has gotten stuck for no reason. The first time, it worked itself out, but the second time I had to quit to the map.

I like that the game is pretty difficult, but after everyone in your party dies, you all get a chance to level up your attributes before going back in. So it's kind of like a dungeon crawl RPG in that sense, only things move much, much more quickly. I also like that you move from area to area without actually having to go back to the map. There were several times when my buddies and I died after what felt like a long level and it turns out we went through two or three stages and only had to restart at the last area.

Bosses are a little annoying though. Just rinse and repeat most of the time. The catfish boss took forever. My two friends and died and I was stuck there fighting him for another 10 minutes. Was I missing some pattern/trick there?

A friend of mine got this a few nights ago. He, another friend, and I played through this and had an absolute blast. I wished I had bought more points so I could have bought this with Braid.

Destroy the hairball before it hits your king's ship, then that ship will shoot a cannonball at the catfish. Once it hits the boss, he'll be stunned for a bit and you can jump and combo him quite well. Of course, it's easiest if you are on a piece of something floating in the water.

I've had online games quit unexpectedly several times; this seemed worse in the evening when I guess many people are playing.

Speaking of online play, is it possible to play with multiple local players in an online game (say, 2 on 1 xbox and 2 online)?

I would also add that you can block his punches and even get a hit in between each punch if you're quick. When he goes underwater and his hand pops out and comes at you, a jump or just moving will avoid the attack. When he swims around with his fin sticking out, get in front of your boat. Fire off a spell at him if you want, then move and he'll crash into your ship. That boss is great for leveling by the way

Oh, and I have to say this again. The game's soundtrack is AWESOME!!!!

Try and catch all the references. There's a Terminator 2 reference in the game and a nod to River City Ransom I believe. The deer riding sequence someone on a forum compared to the jet bike levels in Battletoads.
