Ah, lordofduct, glad to welcome you back to the East Coast. I hope you'll pardon me if I don't sing the Cheers' theme song, but you get the sentiments.

I own a Roketa Bahama 150cc scooter that runs on 5.5 Liters of fuel. I usually pay less than $10 a month. I use to drive my pontiac grandprix GT 97 more often, before gas prices rocketed.

The fact that they'll love you for your money as long as you keep feeding them $100 bills~
Yeah even when I lived in CA (I was in "the OC"), I hated LA...

My wife and I sold our two older cars and bought a Prius. Not neccesarily because of the gas prices, but it seems to be paying off now. Fortunately I also live close to where I work and could probably ride a bike in good weather.

Restructured my life in 2000 to not need a car. Saw this coming. Now everyone else has to do what I did by force. America isn't going to last without change, get used to it.

I don't drive much and my car gets like 40MPG (fuck yea, old simple cars!), so they don't hit me much. Plus, gas isn't too bad in the Kansas/Missouri area. But, in the next 5-10 years it's going to get worse because gas will likely go up, and the hybrid/hydrogen cars are in a bad spot now... they cost too much for most normal, middle-class people to buy them, so slowly public transportation will be needed more and more until the technology used in hybrid/hydrogen cars becomes cheap enough to replace gas cars.
This must really be bad for shipping companies... they almost always use diesel, and holy fuck diesel costs a lot now. I shudder at the thought of what might happen in a few years, it's definitely not going to be fun.

Thankfully I only use public transport anyway, so no.
Phew. People have been complaining a lot though.
