It's not really that type of stealth. They just try to make it a kind of horror game with some jump scares. You are honestly better off just running past everything unless you want to waste a bunch of time trying to sneak with the half assed mechanics they put in. Shittiest thing is the final area is basically reserved for post game and your really best off just running past everything to finish off the final two bosses that aren't all that hard. Literally about every monster encounter in the final area aside from the initial one is probably around 2-3 times more difficult then the final 2 bosses because they are just way over leveled.

Basically, it becomes the TRUE hallway simulator for that chapter.

Reading this thread and all of its responses has convinced me; I must rush out and purchase a PlayStation 4 Pro, along with Final Fantasy XV. I absolutely cannot wait to play this masterclass modern JRPG. $446 is a small price to pay for pure digital joy.

Hey, the PS4 plays other games, too!

I honestly expect I might be annoyed, but will find the whole thing rather overblown in its amount of execrable content. WE SHALL SEE.

(Seriously, though, Rise of the Tomb Raider was swell. MGSV was... err... solid. Shantae is cool, as is Arkham Knight, Titanfall 2, and Song of the Deep. I've gotten my money's worth, even if gaming increasingly drifts from my preferred styles.)

Well to be honest, I've got RotTR, MGSV, and that Shantae on other platforms already. And the other three you mentioned are also on PC. I've personally not seen a truly compelling PS4 exclusive outside The Last Guardian. Although how quickly the internet stopped talking about that game, I have to wonder.

I feel you on that one though.

PS4 rules Exhum. Bloodborne dawg. Nioh. Yakuza. Japanese stuff x100. Nier. etc too lazy. The Last Guardian sounds awesome from what friends have told me, it just is what it is... another Team Ico game with some clunky PS2 remnants in design but a lot of charm and atmosphere. Still niche'. To me, the Japanese devs are taking back the throne and AAA gaming is about to topple. Didn't you like the PS2 era and such? It has that energy to me. THAT AURA MAN.

Seriously though I wish you'd play FFXV and somehow beat it. I think your reaction and review would be pure gold. The in game food looks really good and tasty. You gotta play it now?

I might play it in ten years or so. I still haven't finished FF X, FFX-2, or FF XIII parts 1, 2, and 3. And that's just talking about the mainline stuff. To be frankly honest, I'm just not a huge fan of FF. I really loved FFVI and FFXII, but the rest* was only so-so to me.

*By rest, I mean the other ones I've beaten or spent significant time with; FF IV, FF V, FF VII, FF IX, FF Type 0, and whatever I'm forgetting.

Nobody making the joke that you look like a wimp when you have to heal by crouching behind a wall?

You can heal by hanging from walls as well the much cooler and more efficient option since 90% of the enemies don't know wtf to do when you warp to one of those spots.

I'm on chapter 5

I like the characters, dialog, and voice acting.

Combat sucks though, FF XIII's combat system was a high point and this doesn't compare. And the plot just seems to be plodding along at a sluggish pace at this point in the game.

Overall, I'm kind of meh on it so far. It's okay

Fishing is kind of fun

I hate when the game turns off your ability to manual save and I fucking hate this goddamn stupid behemoth stealth section

Note to devs. If you're not making an actual stealth game DONT PUT FUCKING STEALTH IN YOUR GAME.
