Oh god, is your sniper stick with a gauss pistol and a standard sniper rifle when you got to Gatekeepers? No wonder you had to do the last mission with three wounded vets and three rookies.

Shen's Last Gift DLC is out.

I honestly haven't paid any attention to the DLC for this game yet - but skimming over it all, none of it sounds substantial enough to make me want to pay up. Am I missing anything awesome?

As I understand it the prior DLC has been pretty meh. Two are just visual customization and one adds a boss enemy that cheats to maps and then you get some slightly better gear.

This one might be decent since you get a new class.

a co-op mod is in the works...

...I'm not sure how it'll handle stuff like base management. But the prospect of co-oping XCOM2 is seriously exciting.

You just want to be able to blame the other guy for when the mission goes belly up.

I used long war classes and weapons on my last playthrough. I think the leaders one kept crashing my game though. Since I just finished last month, probably not doing another campaign for a bit.

I think what's got me most excited about this is some of the fundamental changes to the way things play out. Long War 1 felt more like they just extended things out and specialized your troops a bit more, but the actually game was the same. Here they're changing up the mission structure entirely.
