New Vegas was by far my worst experience though I had a pretty good rig for the time and yet the game was so poorly optimized that for the first month or so I was only getting 10-20 FPS regardless of my settings. Although Rage was a close second was getting corrupted saves and crashes for a good while after it released.
Fallout 4
Re: Fallout 4
Well given the amount of crap they cram into the sandbox it's pretty much a given that something is going to inevitably be broken at launch. That being said with the last few Bethesda launches I've experienced I basically expect the first month to be essentially a paid beta test

It is true that sandboxes are more difficult to test and troubleshoot, but still. That means they should build the extra testing time into their development schedule.Fragems wrote:Well given the amount of crap they cram into the sandbox it's pretty much a given that something is going to inevitably be broken at launch. Obsidian and BioWare are also candidates for bug-filled initial releases, though BioWare has gotten better a bit over time.

While I am very pumped for this and will for sure be buying it, do the requirements on the pc side of things seem a bit.........inflated?
On the required side of things isn't a 7770 much more powerful than a 550ti? Like twice as powerful? How things sit in my rig I will for sure be running this on lowest settings. Bet your ass i will though, and probably enjoy in immensely.

The i7 processor thing seems weird. My PC has done pretty good keeping up, but I may just cave and go for a PS4 copy. But then again there could be great mods and all for the PC... hard to say.miked wrote:While I am very pumped for this and will for sure be buying it, do the requirements on the pc side of things seem a bit.........inflated?

Yeah, the system specs are a little butch. I'm hoping a Skylake i5 will be just fine.
Re: Fallout 4
Kind of bummed that the Gold Edition over at Best Buy is console only those socks look nice and with GCU and the $10 credit for preordering it wouldn't be a bad deal for the Season Pass either.

I read your post before really looking at the pictures, now I can't stop laughing over the socks.
Re: Fallout 4
Well it is a few hours away. Being a fan of the game I have been looking forward to this. I have noticed the stupid amount of videos on youtube for this game. I am at a loss as to why people would want to spoil this game for themselves.
Truthfully, all I ask is that it stay similar and just expands on what it already does. Do not really care about crafting and will probably avoid it if I can. It is just about the discovery and surprises for me. I just say, "why fix what aint broken"!!

I don't even care about the game all that much but those socks look fantastic.Fragems wrote:I wouldn't mind getting those socks for Christmas.
